The Role
**Responsibilities**: - Assist in the deployment, configuration, and administration of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) solutions to provide secure network access control and authentication services. - Support the implementation and enforcement of network access policies and controls using Cisco ISE, including user authentication, authorization, and endpoint compliance checks. - Collaborate with senior Cisco ISE administrators and network engineers to gather requirements, design policies, and configure Cisco ISE components according to organizational security standards. - Assist in the integration of network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) with Cisco ISE for Network Access Control (NAC), 802.1X authentication, and role-based access control (RBAC). - Monitor and troubleshoot Cisco ISE infrastructure components, including ISE nodes, policy services nodes (PSNs), and monitoring nodes (MNs), to ensure system reliability and availability. - Perform basic software upgrades, patches, and maintenance tasks on Cisco ISE appliances and servers under the guidance of senior administrators. - Assist in the configuration and management of Cisco ISE integration with identity sources such as Active Directory (AD), LDAP, and external identity providers for user authentication. - Document Cisco ISE configurations, policies, and procedures, and maintain accurate records of changes and configurations for auditing and compliance purposes. - Provide first-level support and assistance to end-users, IT teams, and stakeholders on Cisco ISE functionality, features, and basic troubleshooting. - Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in Cisco ISE administration, network security, and related technologies. - Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to network access control (NAC), identity and access management (IAM), and Cisco security solutions.
**Requirements**:
**Requirements**: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. - 1-3 years of experience in network security, system administration, or IT infrastructure roles, with exposure to Cisco technologies and basic networking concepts. - Familiarity with network access control (NAC) principles, technologies, and standards, including 802.1X, RADIUS, and TACACS+. - Basic understanding of identity and access management (IAM) concepts, including user authentication, authorization, and directory services. - Exposure to Cisco networking devices and technologies, such as Cisco IOS, Cisco ASA, and Cisco Catalyst switches, is advantageous. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot basic Cisco ISE configuration issues and network access problems. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. - Eagerness to learn and develop skills in Cisco ISE administration, network security, and related technologies. - Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNA Security are desirable but not required. - Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, with a passion for advancing knowledge and skills in network security and Cisco technologies.
