**JOB TITLE**
Commie Chef | MAF Retail | Hypermarket UAE

**ROLE SUMMARY**
Commie Chef is tasked with carrying out the production of all dishes, preparing the required mise-en-place, and ensuring the proper handling and storage of food as it relates to the Central Kitchen. This role reports to Sous Chef.

**ROLE PROFILE**
- Prepare and cook orders for daily operations.
- Advise Sous Chef/Chef de Partie/Demi Chef of low inventory items; assists in receiving items and taking inventory as required.
- May assist by performing ware washer or other kitchen duties as needed.
- Maintain a clean, neat and well-organized work area, including but not limited to reach-ins, walk-ins and counters.
- Report all unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area that meet or exceed the state and local Health Board inspection and MAF Food Central Kitchen’s requirements.
- May assist with other duties as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- High School Diploma.
- 2+ years of related culinary experience, at restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
- Experience working with high volume production, banquet experience preferred.
- Passion for the food industry and MAF’s mission to create a sustainable food system that’s better for us all.
