HSBC Commercial Banking (CMB) serves millions of businesses ranging from small, to large corporates, providing commercial customers with a full range of banking services including Global Trade and Receivables Finance, RMB solutions, multi-currency business accounts, payments and cash management, and wealth management and insurance, as well as a comprehensive range of financing solutions. With dedicated Relationship Managers and Product Specialists providing local support and advice in over 60 countries and territories, HSBC helps connect customers to opportunities.
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Commercial Banking team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
- In this role, you will:

Focus on building sustainable growth through relationships while leveraging our network
- Act as the primary escalation point for client transaction queries from the support teams
- Collaborate with Group colleagues to deliver appropriate needs-based solutions for customers
- Ensure that support teams are equipped with systems, resources and expertise to support Relationship Managers
- Lead a team aligned to a common purpose and HSBC values, and delivering fair outcomes for clients
- Ensure appropriate risk appetite in driving the business, whilst maintaining risk controls and overseeing due diligence activities on clients and transactions
- Confidently manage financial crime risk throughout the client lifecycle by identifying, assessing, accepting, monitoring, escalating and mitigating risk
- Ensure all activities carried out by support teams adhere to prevailing HSBC and regulatory standards
- Ensure support teams keep abreast of developments, products and offerings from HSBC, competitors and market changes
Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

Corporate Banking experience with recent exposure in a front line, either as Analyst or Relationship Manager role covering complex Corporate clients, including exposure to sales, commercial lending, credit structures, risk assessment and trade finance
- Evidence of building long term stakeholders relationships, especially second line Credit risk
- Disciplined on administration aspects of CMB (self and toward others), including financial and non-financial related administrative tasks
- Customer centric strategic thinker, able to articulate and deliver long term banking solutions (vanilla & complex)
- Strong track record in financial and non-financial risks management, with great level of detail and compelling financial analysis/ credit proposal writing skills
- Wide breadth of product knowledge in Lending, Global Markets, Global Trade and Receivable Finance (GTRF) and Global Payment Solutions (GPS)
- Understanding of regulatory challenger or other requirements and restrictions within HSBC group offices
- Well-developed interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills with highly motivated and prepared to accept challenges mindset
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English. Proficiency in Arabic would be a plus
- People management experience a plus
- CFA holder a plus Graduation degree is a must - to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
