Mep Purchasing Officer

**The key responsibility includes handling efficiently all the procurement activities related to HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, Electrical, ELV Systems, Spare parts, Consumables, etc.**
- Responsibilities of Procurement Engineers (Mechanical / Electrical / MEP) include:

- To procure equipment, materials & systems complying with project Quality and Specification requirements.
- To procure materials and subcontract in a timely manner within approved budgeted cost.
- Prior to ordering, check all ex-stock availability in central stores and sub-stores.
- To ensure timely delivery of equipment, material & systems to support site installation works as per the approved work program.
- All procurement processes should comply with management-approved procedures and policies with respect to time, cost, and quality.
- Prepare documentation for internal processes as per ISO Standards.
- Excess materials from sites shall be returned to central stores monthly.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Maintain company reputation & credibility through fair dealings and prompt payment.

**Requirements**:

- Background in Mechanical or Electrical engineering only
- Good verbal and written English
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in UAE, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai Only
- Valid UAE driving license
- Sound knowledge of local market vendors and pricing for all mechanical and electrical-related materials
- Having the ability to recognize MEP components and do a comparison of functionality and pricing between different brands
- Basic knowledge of Local market vendors and pricing for fit-out and joinery materials
- Proficient in MS Excel
