**General responsibilities**:
The Quality Officer will work in close conjunction with the Operational Director to ensure a robust quality assurance program for a Medical Services, including coordinating and implementing the quality management and improvement programs.

Under mínimal supervision, the role supports the ambulance team’s administrative and secretarial functions. Ability to handle a wide variety of administrative responsibilities and deal with individuals at all levels. Establishes and manages an efficient office administration system for the day-to-day running of core areas. Responsible for establishment, coordination and successful functioning of the continues quality program records and reporting of key performance indicators.

**Specific responsibilities**:

- Coordinates the development, implementation and revision of InterHealth Medical Services staff's QI program to meet the needs of patients, staff, and external agencies.
- Assist and support the Medical Services in effectively achieving regulatory accreditation and organizational compliance for QI activities.
- Work with the Medical Services management to develop and ensure the implementation of policies to minimize risk within the organization.
- Coordinate with the Operational Director to develop audit systems, perform data analysis and prepare reports related to measuring objectives and tracking outcomes as required. Analyze and report data, as required.
- Organizes, compiles, and reports QI data for the Medical Services to identify trends, establish priorities, and recommend improvement activities.
- Work with the Operational Director to monitor and track organizational performance as it relates to meeting DOH standards.
- Reports findings to the Operational Director such as utilization review, infection control, and risk management.
- Keeps abreast of current international and local regulation quality standards and other on the latest quality techniques in ambulance services.
- Maintains filing systems, databases and spreadsheets to provide information/reports as required by Operational Director and the remainder of the Medical Services Staff;
- Ensures the Operational Director and Ambulance Staff in charge are informed of and aware of significant events and activities in the area(s) of responsibility;
- Assist in the preparation and compilation of the monthly reports to be produced by them to the Operational Director on the activities of the ambulance services with particular emphasis on the activities of the Staff for the preceding month highlighting areas of success, areas of deficiency and forecasting possible future encumbrances including laying out the steps for overcoming the same with the aim of providing safe and efficient services;
- Performs other professional duties as may be assigned within his/her scope and ability.

**Job Specifications**:

- Minimum two (2) years in a quality role in a healthcare setting
- Understanding of clinical quality guidelines, compliance and policy development.
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office; including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Medical terminology ability is preferred
- Document control experience preferred
- Able to prioritize own work
- Other skills as required for the position

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree, healthcare administration, or a similar field of study with a strong analytical base, required

**Salary**: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
