Restaurant Supervisor

The role of the Restaurant Supervisor is to supervise the floor, deliver friendly, efficient customer service, and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests, with the key aim of retaining and attracting customers to achieve organizational goals.
**Responsibilities**
- Ensure that the service is all times performed in a professional manner and to style as specified by Ritual Café.
- Be fully conversant with every dish served in the Café and provide explanations as requested.
- Communicate with café staff and department.
- Assist the restaurant manager in keeping the morale of the team up through social and educational events.
- Make sure that company policy, vision statement, and department objective are followed and utilized at all times.
- Assist with in place through the distribution of tasks and ensure the monitoring and completion of tasks are done properly and in the time allocated.
- Take Responsibility for service in the area of the café under your responsibility during your shift.
- Assist the Restaurant manager in the preparation and presentation of training programs, briefings, and SOP's.
- Report, monitor and coordinate with the Human resources department for any disciplinary matter from the front of the house.
- Be competent in advising guests with food allergies or dietaries by liaising with the kitchen and bar teams and ensuring the order is processed correctly also ensure this is communicated to all relevant staff and departments and that guest profile is updated with the relevant information.
- Be aware of all promotion services offered in the café.
- Ensure that all guest wishes are met so far as is reasonably possible.
- Ensure that all staff call guests by their correct name and title.
- Assist with the restaurant administration as allocated at twice-monthly management meetings.
- Ensure that service is at all times performed in a professional manner following standards set.
- Ensure that the billing procedure is thorough, correct, and signed at the completion of each meal.
- Obtain feedback from guests and use this improved service and pass it on to the Restaurant manager and to supervisor and head waiter.
- Ensure overall responsibility of the running of all stations in front of the house.
- Assist in the preparation, presentation, and recording of training sessions.
- Maintain good communication between the front the house and back of the house and other departments on daily basis.
- Ensure that the all-ritual café areas are maintained to the high standard of cleanliness.
- Ensure that all appliances, fixtures, and fittings are safe and work in accordance with health & safety regulation regulations and report any faults to the restaurant manager.
- Be fully aware of the club’s fire safety procedures and health & safety regulations.
**Qualifications/Requirements**
- University/College degree-related discipline.
- Previous Food and beverage leadership experience.
- Previous point-of-sale system experience.
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (Ms office, Revel pos system)
- Spot and resolve problems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Passionate about hospitality and customer service driven
- Must have a professional appearance and good hygiene.
- Respect for all co-workers and guests.
- Highly responsible & reliable.
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
