- Rackspace has been commissioned by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to assure the build of a sovereign multi tenant private cloud that we have designed. Under contract Rackspace will fulfil 3 strategic functions, led by the Delivery Director, as part of a 3 year programme, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

**Design and Build Assurance** - Overseeing the plans, schedule and build of 20 vendors, individually deploying to install and configure their infrastructure, according to the schedule and standards laid down by Rackspace

**_ 2. _**
**CMP Development** - Designing, Building and releasing MVPs into service which allow firstly administration functions to be created and utilised, leveraging automation, and subsequently building in further automation and service controls

**_ 3. _**
**Strategic Advisory** - Against a designed TOM laid down by Rackspace, supporting the mobilisation of resources, executing a training strategy, and providing expertise to build out the cloud management office

**Role Overview**

**This role will be on-site with a customer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (relocation may be required).**

**Arabic language skills are highly advantageous.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the end-to-end architecture and design process for a multi-tenanted private cloud platform, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and security to define technical requirements and translate business needs into a robust and reliable cloud infrastructure.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools to optimize the private cloud's efficiency, reliability, and management.
- Develop architectural blueprints and documentation to guide the implementation of the multi-tenanted private cloud, including network topology, storage solutions, compute resources, and access controls.
- Design tenant isolation mechanisms to ensure secure segregation of resources and data for different customers on the private cloud.
- Integrate VMware and OpenStack technologies to create a unified, cohesive private cloud platform that maximizes resource utilization and simplifies management.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the DevOps teams to implement automated deployment, monitoring, and scaling strategies for the private cloud infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and recommend relevant updates to the private cloud architecture to maintain its competitiveness.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Master-level knowledge in how to design, create and offer an IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platform in a multi-tenant private cloud.
- In-depth expertise in VMware technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and vCloud Suite.
- Proficiency in OpenStack components and architecture, encompassing Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, and Keystone, among others.
- Proven track record of successfully designing and delivering complex multi-tenant cloud solutions, driving innovation, and implementing best practices.
- You should be comfortable engaging at all levels of the customer’s business, from working with senior/C-level leadership to guiding it-specialists and developers on building solutions.
- Must have the ability to lead architectural engagements, either directly or as part of a larger programme of work and take ownership for the successful delivery of customer value within budget, time and scope.
- You have an articulate opinion on the advantages of using cloud platforms from a business perspective.
