WOOD Dubai is looking to fill a Civil/Structural Discipline Manager to contribute to the delivery of Engineering excellence through
- Managing and leading teams.
- Providing discipline expertise to the business including Technical Authority responsibility.
- Executing assigned scopes of work.
- Delivering against contract Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and business objectives.

**_General: _**
- Reports to the Engineering Manager
- Manage the Civil and Structural engineering and design team
- Single-point responsibility for all Civil and Structural engineering deliverables and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the customers policies and procedures
- Ensure that the overall project is delivered to meet the asset operational needs
- Provide direction and guidance on all technical queries relating to Civil and Structural engineering
- Participate in all project safety and design reviews as necessary
- Ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule
- Liaise with the customers Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion
- Promote safe behaviour at all times

**_People: _**
- _In conjunction with the Engineering Manager, manages succession planning for direct reports. _
- _Provides coaching and mentoring for direct reports. _
- _Actively supports recruitment, selection, transfers and promotion of resources to meet succession and business plans. _
- _Support the development and retention of motivated and competent people. _
- _Ensures competence of deputies. _
- _Manages performance of direct reports. _

- _Continuous promotion of, and adherence to, the discipline specific procedures and providing feedback for continuous improvement. _
- _Support the development and delivery of the technical assurance framework. _
- _Monitor compliance with competence standards. _
- _Participate in incident investigations as required. _
- _Set performance expectations for direct reports. _

- _Actively maintaining own competence and continuous development. _
- _Provide discipline support to the business. _
- _Ensuring learning opportunities are captured and realised. _
- _Knowledge of relevant regulatory framework and legislation. _
- _Proficient in scope definition. _

- _Supporting and supervising tasks delegated to direct reports / respective team. _
- _Executing assigned business objectives. _
- _Management of key stakeholders in the execution and delivery of contracted activities. _
- _Manage and direct resources efficiently and effectively. _
- _Perform the role of Technical Authority when appointed to do so._

**Qualifications**:
**General**:

- Engineering Degree qualification
- Minimum of 20 years experience in the oil and gas industries
- Previous onshore brownfield experience
- Previous experience operating at Lead Civil/Structural Engineer level
- Previous Middle East experience is preferred

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- _MSc, MEng or equivalent professional qualification or BSc, BEng or equivalent with extensive relevant experience. _

**Minimum Experience**:

- _Demonstrable balance of industrial and management experience at relevant level and position. _
