We are looking to hire an Automotive workshop Foreman to join our team immediately.
- At least 5 years’ recent experience in the automotive as a Workshop Supervisor, Controller or Foreman with valid UAE Driving license.
**Responsibilities**
- Supervise and manage a team of technicians or mechanics, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Allocate work assignments to technicians/mechanics/electrician and ensure that work is performed in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
- Monitor and review the progress of work orders, ensuring that deadlines are met and any issues or delays are promptly addressed.
- Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed repairs to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical issues or problems, providing technical expertise and guidance to technicians.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repair projects, ensuring that resources, equipment, and materials are available and utilized efficiently.
- Maintain and update service records, including work orders, repair logs, and customer information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with other departments or teams, such as parts procurement or customer service, to facilitate smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
**Required skills**
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Excellent technical knowledge and expertise in automotive, machinery, or relevant mechanical systems.
- Proficient in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical issues or problems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to finding solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, customers.
- Sound decision-making skills, with the ability to make informed judgments and handle unexpected situations or challenges.
- Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems and other relevant software or tools.
**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive oror mechanical fields is preferred.
- Proven experience as a technician or mechanic, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and repair procedures.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a shop or service centre environment.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, compliance standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Strong knowledge of shop equipment and tools, including diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Al-Ayn: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- High school or equivalent (preferred)
**Experience**:
- workshop foreman: 5 years (preferred)
**Language**:
- english (preferred)
- Arabic (preferred)
