The Diagnostics Manager’s role is pivotal to introduce, establish & strengthen the precision medicine approach. The role will ensure timely, high quality in-market companion/complementary diagnostics and testing solutions to enable optimal patient identification and treatment throughout the patient journey. The role includes strengthening understanding & adoption of established biomarkers while readying the ecosystem with strategic engagements for pipeline biomarker driven launches in Oncology across all therapy areas.

**What you’ll do**
- Responsible for Gulf Oncology Diagnostics across AZ Oncology portfolio
- Scientific partnership and education - Demonstrate clinical utility and drive awareness of biomarker testing enabling early cancer detection.
- Identify and lead solution-based strategies to address biomarker adoption barriers, gaps, and hurdles. Actively Collaborate on pre-launch/launch strategy within cross-functional teams for new Dx solutions.
- Ensure the timely availability of high quality in-market companion diagnostics testing solutions across all oncology therapeutic areas to enable optimal treatment throughout the patient journey. An important element of this role is therefore to work collaboratively with the cross functional teams to design & execute tactical plans with an understanding of clinical operational issues on the testing pathway and developing tailored testing solutions as needed.
- Recommend, curate, and deliver diagnostics-focused informational content targeted for external & internal stakeholders.
- Leverage current diagnostic market and clinical test market experience and foster collaborations/strategic partnerships in Gulf ecosystem to pave the way for future diagnostics solutions.
- Lead & manage a team of Diagnostics Science Liaisons aligned with AZ GCC Oncology priorities.

**Key performance Areas**:

- Devising & executing engagement plans in line with brand & therapy area priorities across the Oncology portfolio. Active cooperation within cross-functional teams (Medical, Market Access, Franchise teams) - pre-launch/launch and post-launch strategy building & execution for all biomarker testing based solutions.
- Ensuring delivery across all diagnostics KPI's. Accurately tracking & providing visibility with actionable insights on testing trends to brand CFT
- Maximize testing access through strategic partnerships with diagnostic companies, lab networks, and Health Care Professionals (HCPs). Develop strategies to support and educate on appropriate testing.
- Identify and develop relationships with scientific experts: Pathologists, Oncologists, Geneticists and Laboratory decision makers. Prepare and conduct advisory boards for new diagnostics solutions with multidisciplinary attendance to get insight related to current and future testing patterns in specific cancer type/s.
- Enabling brand CFT with relevant market trends, diagnostics testing/sample journey & other companion diagnostics focused content.

**Essential for the role**
- Bachelor’s degree: preferably an Advanced degree in life sciences, medical or pharmacy degree
- ~5-7 years’ Experience in specialty therapy area; Oncology, diagnostic market, clinical testing experience is an advantage. With minimum 2 years of managerial experience
