**Overview **:**Role Overview**
- The VP of International Sales, (Intelligent Optical Solutions) will be a highly intelligent self-starter who is willing to challenge the status quo while readily assuming responsibility for driving strong sales performance and value-creation initiatives. He/she will be a sales executive who has the experience and vision to become an integral part of the organization and help accelerate the Company’s growth.- Manage the performance and activities of the entire sales units, including account representatives and other sales staff.
- Develop, manage, and nurture new business and technical partnerships and accounts to accomplish volume and profit goals.
- Conduct analysis to manage performance levels of sales against market developments and corporate objectives

**Responsibilities**:

- Expected to develop and grow business sales within EMEA, Asia and LATAM with both dotted line and direct sales people for the Rapiscan & AS&E cargo division
- Cultivate relationships which will enhance and further Rapiscan /AS&E market penetration with intelligent optical solutions.
- Identify priority geographic markets for expansion of product sales and the appropriate technical partners and integrators to service those areas and segments.
- Identify new market segments and product innovation opportunities to further sales growth with existing customers.
- Oversee assigned regional customer base and ensure satisfaction with Rapiscan / AS&E as a vendor of choice and its products.
- Review agent/ distributor performance and recommend and coordinate plans for corrective action in areas of weakness.
- Keep International VP Sales, informed of regional business conditions, customer activity and product acceptance.
- Creative and capable of thinking broadly about business—not just sales issues.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with the VP of International Sales and the divisional General Manager to help shape the division’s business and financial strategy.
- Ability to articulate evolving priorities for the business and frame business strategies and strategic imperatives.
- Contributes to the strategic success of their prior companies in roles that might include sales, sales operations, business development, business-unit management or general management, or strategic sales planning.
- Assist in the development of (Region) Sales strategies, action plans and product development and innovation strategies.
- Prepare and conduct presentations and information briefings as required to expand customer / client knowledge of Rapiscan / AS&E optical business solutions and its technologies.
- Maintain continuous observation of regional government, public and media resources to ensure a detailed awareness of tenders, commercial business requirements and other opportunities where Rapiscan / AS&E equipment & technology could be offered.

**Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated track record of developing effective relationships with managers and executives across diversified, international businesses.
- Possess the experience and passion for partnering with business unit executives to provide information and suggestions, thereby expanding his/her effectiveness as a member of the business team.
- Have a track record of consistently delivering significant year-over-year improvement in sales and financial results in customer-oriented environments characterized by a high sense of urgency and a need for rapid change and continuous improvement.
- Will have proven experience to present sales and relevant financial information using useful managerial reports, such as analysis of performance and profitability, to interpret data and trends; and to harness product and sales information to measure operational improvements, and customer satisfaction.
- 70% travel required
