Purpose of the job: (function of the position)
The role requires planning, implementation and controlling the efficient, effective flow and storage of goods, services, and related information from the point of origin to the point of consumption in order to meet customers / sales requirements. Functions include inbound and outbound transportation management, warehousing, materials handling, order fulfilment, logistics network design, inventory management of third party logistics services providers. To varying degrees, my function also includes all expenses (payments) related to logistics field, planning, scheduling, packaging and customer service. It is involved in all levels of planning and execution - strategic, operational and tactical. Logistics Management is an integrating function, which coordinates and optimizes all logistics activities, as well as integrates logístical activities with other functions including marketing, sales, finance and information technology. It needs also required project leading for customer's logistics network improvement including investigation, consulting, and suggestion for innovation.

Key Objectives:

- Supervise all operations related to logistics - KPI, inventory, supply chain, transport, Integration of information & customer requirements, Contract and Manage to 3PL.
- The objective of the above is to manage the flow of goods, information and other resources, including energy and people, between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet the requirements of the management (targets) and consumers frequently( just in time availability, timelessness of deliveries, safe, secure storage and distribution)
- Assist in budget development, preparation of procurement plans and spending plans relating to logistics expenditure and operational costs.
- Define, develop and implement Logistics plans, policies and procedures in line with corporate Logistics strategy in order to support the achievement of overall business objectives.
- Leading project for customer's logistics operation improvement & network reorganization Position Responsibilities:

- Establish consistency in processes and performance across logistics operations.
- Establish detailed activity and improvement plans for supply chain logistics operations taking into account all operational demands, resources available, budgetary controls, supply chain constraints, turnaround commitments aligned with operational business objectives.
- Undertake any adhoc projects, initiatives, tasks as directed by the Management.
- Oversee the development of policy and procedure improvements in order to ensure the ongoing development of logistics provision and standards.
- Liaise regularly with senior business management in order to understand ongoing business activities and developments and the implications this will have for coordinated logistics provision.
- Prepare management information reports in order to ensure that the management has the relevant information needed to support strategic decision
- making.
- Personally resolve critical logistics problems in order to ensure contractual commitments are met and any operational impact is minimized.
- Development and implementation of 3pl performance measurements.

Essential skills and experience:
Competencies:

- In-depth professional logistics knowledge and expertise
- Excellent understanding of supply chain systems, procedures and standards
- Thorough knowledge of relevant local import, export, clearance, transportation, land warehousing laws and regulations, procurement, shipping, clearance, transportation and warehousing methods and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills, planning, problem solving and people management skills.
- Good communication skills - written and verbal
- Well developed interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability and flexibility to understand the cultural and political environment and to work well with the local authorities.
- Good command over English, additional if possible locally required language (Arabic).
- Excellent Skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of last mile delivery operations with focus on operations enhancement, system integration & reduction in Lead time
- Manage Last mile delivery team SLA success ratio with emphasis on Timely pick up & Delivery
- Analyse the pick up windows by LMD partner and Optimize route for on time delivery

Qualifications:

- Above 5 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of International Trade, Import Operations and UAE Customs Laws
- Relevant Degree from a recognized university

Pay: AED18,000.00 - AED23,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
