**Position Title**: Static Equipment Inspector

**Job Summary**:
The Static Equipment Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections, reviewing materials, and verifying that static equipment, including pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, piping, and other associated static components, meet the project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. The role requires qualified engineers with appropriate materials and/or package engineering skills, and the inspector will oversee material receiving inspections, vendor documentation, and compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards.

**Job Summary**:
The Static Equipment Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections, reviewing materials, and verifying that static equipment, including pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, piping, and other associated static components, meet the project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. The role requires qualified engineers with appropriate materials and/or package engineering skills, and the inspector will oversee material receiving inspections, vendor documentation, and compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Material Receiving Inspection**:

- Perform material receiving inspections for all permanent project materials provided by EPC contractors, ensuring that the materials conform to purchase orders and project specifications.
- **Document Review and Approval**:
Review and approve material certificates and manufacturer/vendor documents related to materials and equipment, as per purchase orders, material specifications, codes, and project specifications.
- **Vendor/Manufacturer Quality Compliance**:
Understand and ensure compliance with Vendor/Manufacturer’s quality system requirements and review/approve submitted Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and procedures in line with project specifications.Coordinate with discipline inspectors for the inspection of specialized materials and components, ensuring timely and accurate verification of materials.Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when materials or equipment do not meet required specifications, and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Ensure adherence to material control procedures and material preservation and storage requirements to prevent damage, deterioration, or other issues that could affect the materials’ integrity.Ensure compliance with international codes and standards such as ASME, ANSI, API, AWS, BP, BS, ISO, and ISO EN 10204 during inspections and material evaluations.Prepare and submit concise weekly and monthly inspection reports detailing activities, findings, issues, and progress.Provide final approval for manufacturer/vendor document dossiers and material receiving inspections, ensuring compliance with all project specifications and regulatory requirements.**Required Qualifications and Skills**:

- A related degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or an approved equivalent qualification.
- **Certifications**:

- ASME Authorized Inspectors (AI) certification (where applicable).
- Electrical and/or Instrument qualifications (if applicable).
- **Experience**:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in material and equipment inspection activities, specifically within the onshore oil and gas industry. Experience should include knowledge of static equipment inspection and material review.Solid understanding and experience in working with international codes and standards, including but not limited to:Fluent in both spoken and written English to communicate effectively with stakeholders, vendors, and team members.Proficient in using standard office software (MS Office Suite) and any specialized inspection or materials management software.**Desirable Attributes**:

- Familiarity with SPIR (Supplier Data) inspection requirements and document review.
- Deep understanding of material control, preservation, and storage procedures.
