**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Provide expert guidance and technical support to welding operations within the fabrication yard, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements.
- Oversee welding activities, including welding procedures, equipment selection, consumable choices, and quality control measures.
- Develop and implement welding programs and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with welding specifications and identify areas for improvement.
- Train and mentor welding personnel, ensuring their proficiency in welding techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and other disciplines to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
- Coordinate with client representatives and external stakeholders to address welding-related queries and provide technical guidance.

**Essential Qualifications and Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Extensive experience in welding and fabrication, specifically in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on offshore modules.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes related to welding, such as ASME, AWS, API, and NACE.
- Proven track record of successful project execution with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
- Certification in welding inspection (e.g., CWI or CSWIP) is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex welding issues, develop innovative solutions, and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in the use of welding software, computer-aided design (CAD) tools, and other relevant technical software.
