**JOB DESCRIPTION - ASSISTANT DRAFTING SUPERVISOR (JOINERY)**

We are looking for an Assistant Drafting Supervisor to oversee the technical design team and their workload. The role involves working with the Technical Design Manager in assigning tasks and ensuring the work done by the team matches the agreed scope of work on the BOQ and is done to the standard.

**Responsibilities**:The role of a Assitant Drafting Supervisor may involve a variety of tasks including:

- Reviewing drawings and material calculation checks prior to releasing to production.
- Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations of the technical design team, implementing the Manager's directives and strategies.
- Team Support: Assist team members in their tasks, provide guidance, and resolve operational issues within the team.
- Communication Liaison: Act as a bridge between the Technical Design Manager and the team, ensuring effective communication and message conveyance.
- Task Allocation: Assist in allocating tasks to the team, ensuring project efficiency and adherence to deadlines.
- Managerial Support: Support the Manager in managerial duties, such as resource planning, task allocation, and team performance evaluation.
- Leadership in the Manager's Absence: Assume leadership temporarily in the absence of the Manager, handling critical matters and ensuring smooth operations.

**Requirements and skills**
- **Technical Expertise -** the Drafting Supervisor will be expected to prepare full sets of technical designs using the proprietary software and at times of uncertainty the Drafting Supervisor may be relied upon for their superior knowledge in solving specific problems, or seeking appropriate advice where they are uncertain to ensure the project remains on track.
- **Planning and Time Management** - to ensure that designs and drawings are completed within set timeframes.
- **Communication -** both with their team and other teams, Management, and other stakeholders.
- **Leadership Abilities -** Ability to lead and oversee the team in the Manager's absence.
- **Communication Skills** - Strong communication skills to convey the Manager's directives effectively.
- **Problem-Solving -** Capability to address operational issues and provide solutions.
- **Adaptability**:

- Flexibility to handle various managerial tasks and support as per the Manager's requirements.
- **Resource Management -** ensuring that the correct staff are assigned roles with the correct allocation of time to complete the task.
- **Delegation and Motivation -** the Drafting Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that tasks are delegated effectively, and staff remain motivated to complete the project to a high
