Dubai, United Arab Emirates Yellow Kite Nursery Full time

* Work side by side with the Class Teacher/Supervisor/Head Nurse as part of a work team.
- Support the supervisor (Teacher or Room Leader) in carrying out and maximizing her duties to the full - suggest ideas and work as a team

*Source learning materials for the Main Teacher/Supervisor

*In the absence of the supervisor oversee play activities (for example reading, cooking, music, dancing etc)

*Assist with the development of children's personal/social and language abilities taking note of observations/next steps/working wall

*Supporting the development of children's basic skills, including physical coordination, speech and communication

*Encouraging children's development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play

*Developing children's curiosity and knowledge

*Providing a safe and secure environment in which the child can learn.

*Attending in-house training including Child Protection, Paediatric First Aid and basic firefighting skill courses accredited by the ministries of the UAE.

*Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of children and staff is maintained during all activities, both inside and outside the nursery.

*Being vigilant and carefully watching children at all times.

*Keeping up to date with changes in the curriculum and developments.

*To ensure absences are kept to the minimum to avoid disruption to the children. Absences must be reported by 6am to Ms Laura Nursery principal.

*To clean nursery areas and follow at all times the nursery guidelines for hygiene.

*To follow instructions from Head Nurse on cleanliness

*Change, wash, dress babies and children according to nursery policy

*To remain smartly dressed in accordance with the uniform policy

*Developing positive working partnerships with parents and children through a variety of ways and provide pastoral care and support to children in a safe and secure environment. *This will involve building positive relationships with the families through face to face interactions.

*Upholding the nursery visions in all interactions (see manual).

*Motivating and stimulating children's learning abilities, encouraging learning through play by imaginatively creating resources with the class team.

*Creating an enabling environment in their classroom daily.

*Developing and producing visual aids and teaching resources; organizing learning materials and resources and making imaginative use of the nurseries plentiful resources.

*Maintaining confidentiality and exercising outstanding professional practice.
- Sharing information with Nursery Principal in areas of concern for the well-being and safety of the children.

*Providing a safe and nurturing environment in which the child can learn using positive encouragement and kindness.
