About the Team

The Global Procurement Team plays a critical role in the business and is responsible for the strategy design and end-to-end processes involved in the purchase of goods and services in a sustainable and financially viable way in compliance with business standards.

The Global Procurement Team is responsible for sourcing and onboarding of new vendors, supporting the development of key company systems and processes, maintaining a strategic overview of project procurement management activities and ensuring that purchasing contracts and arrangements are fulfilled in strict accordance with legal requirements, project requirements, and business policies and procedures.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a key role within a growing regional Procurement function and in the context of a fast-paced environment in the tech/social media sector. All the Global Procurement Team and associated Centre of Excellence will support the onboarding of this new role and share best practices, procurement strategies, insights on compliance to deliver collectively as one team.

The Procurement function at TikTok keeps developing and we regularly meet for workshops and trainings to share cross teams, cross countries and have full alignment as one team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for METAP and other regional catering service procurement projects, including but not limited to employee canteen operation service outsourcing, snacks, event meal, pantry design, kitchen equipment and other various catering solutions. Responsible for vendor qualification, selection, contract negotiation, vendor management, supplier daily operation management, PO processing & payment coordination and other Sourcing-to-Pay procurement support.
- In-depth understanding of market dynamics and regional logistics team’s requirement. Provide timely and cost-effective solutions with good service level.
- Continuously improve supplier sourcing, selection, evaluation, bidding, management and elimination mechanisms to ensure the establishment of a competitive and high-quality supplier pool that meets the Corporate’s pace of development.
- Align with the Corporate’s overall procurement strategy and catering category strategy, and deploy these strategies to procurement practices. Feedback the industry/legal norms and other special requirements to Corporate for various strategies optimisation.
- Work closely and efficiently with internal and external stakeholders, maintain good relationship and ensure that internal stakeholders could be responded to in a timely manner and exceed their expectations.

**Qualifications**:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or above.
- More than five years of procurement experience, with three years of experience sourcing in related categories or indirect sourcing experience.
- Excellent procurement professional knowledge and communication skills (procurement strategy, project management, negotiation and contract, cost control, supplier management, procurement process management, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications
- Professional level language proficiency in Arabic.
- Experience in high-tech leading companies with a global background.
- Experience and resources in indirect sourcing in overseas catering industries.
- Those who have obtained professional certificates such as PMP, CIPS and CPSM are preferred.
