Reports to the Sous Chef/ Chef De Partie. Ensures the efficient operation of such food production in his/her areas he is put in charge of by the Sous Chef/Chef De Partie. He/She should have experience in the main kitchen in a high volume kitchen operation and full-time service in the hotel. Has basic skills in computer and familiar with the inventory system. Has great teamwork skills and attention to detail. Has a positive outlook and outgoing personality. Is able to take responsibility. Is a person who enjoys working in a lively, fast-paced environment, someone who lives his hobby and is passionate about cooking and food. Being flexible to work in any dining outlet is also necessary to assist as the business requires. He/She assures on-going training and that the high standards set by the Sous Chef/Chef De Partie are followed. He/She assures safe, quality food products and complete guest satisfaction. Maintains the highest food quality and controls for all food products Served in all areas, according to the needs and desires of the company. He/She is instrumental in assuring the highest health, sanitation, and safety, Standards necessary in food handling, and overall galley cleanliness.

You should have a professional kitchen apprenticeship or chefs training course and previous experiences in quality establishments along with good culinary skills. The ability to communicate in English and a proven track of food preparation, presentation and preservation knowledge is an essential. Physically agile, and able to stand for extended periods and available to work shifts, over weekends and on public holidays.
