**Description**

**Duration: 2 years with potential for extension. This will not be a direct DEWA hire, but through a third party company.**

**Basic Qualifications**
- _PhD in a related discipline e.g. Material Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Interdisciplinary Engineering, etc._
- _Proven research experience (designation commensurate with relevant years of experience)_
- _Scopus-indexed publication record_
- _Hands-on (experimental) research exposure in electrochemistry (cell setup and electrochemical characterization techniques) _
- _Basic knowledge in materials characterizations (imaging, spectroscopy, physical characterization, thermal characterization, mechanical characterization, electrical & optical characterization, and electrochemical characterizations)._
- _Knowledge in the battery fabrication, assembly, and testing (li-ion, supercapacitor, redox flow battery) is a plus. _
- _Knowledge of computer aided design and multi-physics simulation are plus._

**_Preferred Qualifications_**
- _PhD in a related discipline e.g. Material Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Interdisciplinary Engineering, etc._
- _Proven research and work experience (designation commensurate with relevant years of experience)_ _Scopus-indexed publication records. _
- _Strong research experience and ability in research (e.g. as evidenced from published paper publications)_ _Intellectual property (patent) records_
- _Good experience with materials characterizations (imaging, spectroscopy, physical characterization, thermal characterization, mechanical characterization, electrical & optical characterization, and electrochemical characterizations)._
- _Good knowledge and experience in computer aided design and multi-physics simulation (e.g. COMSOL)_
