A leading Real Estate Developer is looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to lead its accounts and finance division who shall be responsible or preparing financial and performance reports as well as assisting departments with annual budgets and reviews.

Chief Accountant Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day finance and accounts operations.
- Monitoring project escrow accounts and liaising with Trustee and relevant authorities for customer receipts and project payments from escrow account
- Manage all accounting operations within the Group including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost
- Verification of contractors monthly billing and ensuring timely clearance of vendor bills.
- Reconciliation of Contractor Retention as per PPC billing
- Managing the rental portfolio of the Group, ensuring timely encashing of rental PDC’s.
- Preparing and timely updating the statements of investment in Group.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory and Statutory reporting (VAT, ESR, AUDIT)
- Coordination with consultant for preparation VAT of Corporate Tax Returns.
- Preparation and coordination for ESCROW Audit
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Processing registration of sold units on RERA portal. Initiating payment request and submitting monthly inflow details on RERA TAS portal.
- Reconciliation of TAS and Escrow accounts.
- Coordinate with sales department and provide them with accurate customer statements and any ad hoc reports requested by the sales division head.
- Month end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries
- Production of monthly, quarterly and annual accounting reports to management
- Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts
- Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls
- Preparing Projects Cashflows, project wise and consolidation.
- Liaise with the Heads of Departments to collect data for preparing reports
- Compare actual with vs budget to determine the monthly variances
- Responsible for timely monthly consolidated financial statements, payments, cash flow management reporting
- Ensure adherence to company’s policies and procedures and coordination in audit procedures

Qualification
- More than 5 years of professional accounting experience.
- Construction/Property Development experience will be advantageous
- Minimum bachelor's degree in finance, CPA, CMA and/or ACCA certified
- Well versed in ERP accounting softwares. Zoho experience preferred
- Experienced in using RERA portal (submitting request and reports)
- Advanced Excel skills, ability to work with lookups, pivot tables and formulas
- Experience in leading an accounts team is a plus

**Salary**: AED10,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
