A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accountant / Chief Accountant to join a Shipping and Oil Trading Firm in London.

This Role requires you to be a Dubai-based resident with at least 6-7 years of work
experience as Chief Accountant.

Role responsibilities:
Manages the organization of his accounting team by determining the structure of the
organization (function, profession, legal entity) and together with his/her team, he/she
defines the schedule with strict deadlines for legal or financial reasons.
He/she is in charge of the organization during the closing of the accounts. He/she sets up
quarterly, monthly or annual closing schedules, frequent reconciliations, while verifying the
accuracy of the information sent to him, regarding accounting standards.
He/she is responsible for monitoring the budget and the financing plan, he/she is the one
to set up communication with banks in order to have regular information on the latest
developments.

He/she also participates in negotiations with banking institutions.

The Chief Accountant will coordinate the Annual Audits across the Companies of the Group.

MUST HAVEs:
- Master accounting techniques ( statutory consolidation etc.)
- Master accounting standards (IAS/IFRS)
- Good knowledge of the regulations
- Good knowledge of IT and accounting tools (MS Office, MS Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, JD

Edwards, etc.)- Confident with numbers
- Knowledge of professional English
- Knowledge of taxation
- Good analytical and synthesizing skills
- Good stress resistance

Academic Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (including management or tax courses).
- Preferably also a Master's degree with a financial focus (finance/accounting, management

sciences, etc.)- Professional Accounting Certification (CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA etc.)
