**ROLE PURPOSE**:
Assist SVP - IA in providing assurance to the Abu Dhabi Airports Board that the IT related risk management framework, internal controls, compliance and governance processes, as designed and represented by management are adequate and functioning correctly.

**KEY ACCCOUNTABILITIES**

**Managerial - Strategic Planning**
- Assist the SVP Internal Audit in developing the Annual Audit plan (especially for IT) to ensure that audit efforts are focused on the areas of highest risk and/or weakest control.
- Manage the execution of departmental objectives and plan.
- Support the SVP Internal Audit in creating the policies and procedures for Internal Audit.
- Support the SVP in developing presentations to Audit Committee, management and BoD.

**Budget Management**
- Assist SVP IA to develop departmental budget and monitor budget spend in coordination with relevant sections.

**Corporate Performance Management**
- Oversee the performance of the department in line with the operational plan defined.
- Assist SVP IA to identify opportunities to improve department’s performance.
- Review the quality of all services and work products delivered by the subordinates.

**People Management**
- Manage Internal Audit team and provide on job training.
- Manage the preparation of IA reports and ensure they are valid, accurate presentable and timely
- Recommend training needs for subordinate(s) and evaluate the outcomes of training courses in coordination with the concerned human resources personnel to leverage capabilities.
- Conduct performance appraisals for subordinates according to scheduled plans and recommend necessary actions as per applied HR practices

**Functional**
- Deliver a comprehensive, ongoing risk-assessment for IT processes (including cyber security), systems infrastructure and projects; and activities of Abu Dhabi Airports to assess strategic, financial, operational, and compliance risks.
- Coordinate with the SVP Internal Audit to schedule audit assignments.
- Conduct compliance audits for Abu Dhabi Airports to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and review working papers, validate the accuracy of audit findings and monitor quality of work
- produced by the internal audit team.
- Assist the SVP IA in preparing reports and presentations to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors whenever needed.
- Monitor progress of audit assignments against the budget and ensure that automated tools are being used for efficiency.
- Provide recommendations on performed audits (especially IT audits) to be included in the reports presented to the Audit Committee and Management
- Conduct/support special investigations / ad-hoc assignment and / or consulting assignments when requested to do so by SVP Internal Audit.
- Ensure/monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and Standards of Business Conduct.
- Provide presentations and seminars within Abu Dhabi Airports to promote accountability, code of conduct, appropriate business practices and compliance with policies, laws and regulations.
- Liaise with government audit inspections to provide them with required information.
- Monitor developments related to the business, matters of interest to internal audits, changes in legislation and other relevant developments that may have an impact on Internal Audit.
- Maintain effective relationships with all departments with highest standards of business ethics.
- Perform any other tasks as directed by the SVP Internal Audit

**Organizational - Governance**
- Develop department''s policies and procedures in line with the directive of AC.
- Ensure compliance of the department to the guidelines defined by division/department’s, such as, HR, legal, risk and quality assurance in addition to Abu Dhabi Airports’s framework and DoA.
- Support the periodic audit of the established policies and procedures to ensure compliance

**Management Reporting**
- Report on the progress of the audit plan to the Audit Committee on a regular basis.

**Change Management**
- Own/drive change management activities pertaining to the relevant department and ensure all stakeholder communications are as per the approved communication plan

**Technology Management**
- Ensure that all the technology needs of the department are identified and that the department''s processes are performed in a time and cost-effective manner

**Professional Development**
- Proactively identify and seek professional development opportunities to improve
