Internal Audit Manager

Our client a large manufacturingcompany is looking for a Compliance Manager to be based in AbuDhabi UAE. In this role Responsible for executing internal auditsto assess business processes and risks evaluate internal controlsand provide recommendations to improve business processes andcontrol environment. This title will support and assist the Head ofInternal Audit in designing and supervising/ conducting audits ofdifferent businesses processes as per the approved audit plan andas assigned by the HIA on an ongoing basis and in the developmentof vision and organizational plan for the Internal AuditDepartment. Other responsibilities would include but not limitedto:
- Conductrisk assessment and support the Head of Internal Audit indevelopment of risk based internal auditplan.
- Performinternal audit assignments as per the internal audit plan byconducting planning fieldwork and reporting activities incompliance with internal audit manual and professional auditingstandards in order to provide management with insights into areasof risk that are not adequately controlled and identifyopportunities for process and controlimprovements.
- Prepareworking papers in accordance with internal audit manual IAmanagement system requirements resolving all review comments on atimely basis and archiving of internal auditfiles.
- Prepareaudit reports and other deliverables to be reviewed by the Head ofInternalAudit.
- Communicatefindings and recommendations and discuss them with auditees/processowners to achieve agreement and obtain correctiveactions.
- Communicatethe audit matters emerging issues and engagement status to theattention of Head of InternalAudit.
- Carryout followup reviews to assess the status of implementation of themanagement action plans and ensure the continuation of suchfollowup till satisfactory results areachieved.
- Buildand maintain the right relationships internally within the companyas well as externally such as consultants relevant governmentsbodies/authorities and holding company. If needed participate inprofessional bodies such as Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)Association of Certified Fraud Examiners AICPA etc. to promoteprofessional brand image and drive continuous improvement anddeployment of best practices within theorganization.
- Whereapplicable/as requested examine and professionally investigatevarious functions and interview relevant stakeholders to ensureaccurate recording of issues and/or transactions and compliancewith applicable laws andregulations.
- Undertakespecial reviews and adhoc requests based on assignment by the Headof InternalAudit.
- Supportthe Head of Internal Audit in areas related to the Audit &Risk Committee and ADQreporting.
- Identifyopportunities to increase operating efficiencies as well asimplementation of best practices and process improvements in thedepartment operations without reducing the quality ofservice.
- Provideinputs for improvement and enhancement of the internal auditfunction including policies/procedures updates audit methodologiesand implementing supporttools.
Requirements
Tobe considered for this role you must meet the followingrequirements:
- Bachelor sdegree in accounting or other relevantqualification.
- ProfessionalCertifications such as CIA CPA CA ACCACFE
- Minimum of 12 years of relevantexperience.
- Fluent written andspoken English.
- Ability tocommunicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing willall levels of the organization as well as with externalpartners.
- Strong knowledge ofinternal auditing concepts business processes risk and internalcontrol systems.
- Must be familiarwith the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards andnecessary processes to ensurecompliance.
- A selfstarter who isorganized intuitive and a collaborative problemsolver with theability to be effective in a complex globalenvironment.
- Must have the highestprofessional and personal standards unquestioned integrity andbusiness ethics.
- Adept at workingindividually and as part of a team with commitment to teamwork andresults.
- Willingness and ability todevelop and maintain collegial and professional relations withcolleagues other heads of departments and topmanagement.
- Always maintain apositive attitude while carrying out his/her duties andresponsibilities.
- Experience withERP SAP and advanced knowledge of MSoffice.
