**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist the school in achieving its overall vision and strategic intentions and to contribute to the achievement of relevant targets as set out in the school’s improvement plan and self-evaluation form.
- Comply with regulations pertaining to health and safety at work legislation and adhere to school policies relating to safe working practice and equal opportunities regulations.
- Comply with the school’s Performance Management Policy ensuring challenging annual targets are set and to fulfil the role of performance management reviewer if directed to do so by the principal.
- Engage in annual training linked to child protection, safeguarding and health and safety together with all training deemed appropriate for the purpose of school improvement or performance management.
- To conduct student-focused, impartial, personal career guidance interviews which challenge and support students to make informed, realistic and adaptable career decisions.
- To generate and maintain students records electronically in support of personal guidance interviews, including a summary of agreed actions/action plans.
- Always comply with the school’s staff dress code including the wearing of photo ID / lanyard.
- Always comply with the school’s computer Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).
- Sign out and sign in at relevant school reception if off site at any point during the normal working day.
- A teaching load in secondary as per requirements and needs of the school.
- To undertake any additional responsibilities as delegated by the Line Manager, Head of School or Principal.

**Requirements**:

- BA Degree in Education or BSc/BA Degree in any secondary qualification with PGCE.
- Knowledgeable of careers and university provision and preparation programmes.
- Has integrity and strong personal communication skills - Highly organised and can manage timelines efficiently.
- Has competent IT skills.
- Demonstrates an appreciation of cultural diversity.
- Personal drive and ability to manage workload when working independently.
- Proven outstanding classroom practitioner.
- A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children.
- A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.
