Competence Level: Minimum of 5-8 experience on handling at least 3 sites of not less than 40
irrigation valve stations.
Principles and practices of landscape maintenance.
Equipment, tools and materials used in landscape maintenance
Basic principles and practices of supervision and training.
Principles and practices of Safety Management.
Principles of Landscape, Irrigation and Horticulture.
Office procedures, method, and equipment.
He should be able to organize, implement and direct the operational
activities and the team.
Read and interpret maps, plans, sketches, diagram etc.
Demonstrate tact and diplomacy with client.3.0 Reporting RelationshipReports to : Project EngineerSupervises : Crew Leaders4.0 Functions
- Responsible for :Shall read and analyses, execute, install (and) (be able to maintain) as per
irrigation drawings.
Knowledge of (designs software) preferable.
Shall prepare site specific maintenance PPM for pumps, irrigation tanks,
central controllers, field irrigation controllers, irrigation control valves,
solenoid valves and secondary irrigation system.
Shall delegate, supervise, monitor & instruct the Crew Leaders and the
Crew of daily routine PPM.s reactive jobs.
Shall submit (either verbal or written) reports to the PMs on a daily basis,
the daily activities.
Receives instructions/direction from assigned (Common) Irrigation
Manager &/or Projects Manager.
Exercises direct supervision over staff assigned to him.
He shall select, train, motivate, track, assign, and oversee the work of his
staff. Establish schedules and methods for work performed and ensure
adherence to proper work group procedures and policies.
Provide proactive performance planning (PPP). Prepare premobilization
site condition survey report.
Maintain effective one on one effective dialogue with all employees on
regular basis.
Recommend and assist the team in implementation.
Determine equipment and material supply & needs. Monitor
equipment/material performance, prepare material requisitions and make
routine and emergency purchases (if required and after obtaining
approvals).
Respond within the KPI time frames to all emergency maintenance calls.
Absolutely attend all work related calls and respond appropriately.
Respond to request, reports and incident from clients and crew, investigate
complaints and do necessary corrective actions immediately to resolve
complaints. Monitor and supervise (assist) the team with full presence, if necessary.
Ensure co-ordination between irrigation and all other maintenance
divisions and departments as well as outside agencies and contractors (as
and when required).
Ensure proper water shutdowns during rains, storms, periodical changes,
pipe breaks and all other emergency irrigation works. This has to be
personally monitored and achieved on each and every single site of
operations.
Responsible for photographic and (Videotapes) reports for the services of
irrigation network system components for evaluation, submission and
approval for client. To ensure all safety guidelines are followed.
Co-ordinate, investigate, perform and report all the inspections of irrigation
(maintenance) system infrastructure.
Maintain/adjust/calibrate/program all types of irrigation field controllers,
satellite controllers, and computer based central control systems for the site
irrigation systems.5.0 Authority &

maintenance project and reporting it to the Project Engineer and Project
Manager.

Pay: AED23,000.00 - AED42,000.00 per month
