**Records & Retention Officer**

**Abu Dhabi, UAE**

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Perform Archiving Records and Retention practice in order to keep and maintain all projects and corporate documentation meet the national and international laws, rules and regulations.
- Adhere and comply with the national and international laws, rules and regulations and maintain projects and corporate documents according to regulatory bodies and ensure that legal obligations are met from the creation and to retention of records.
- Ensures appropriate protection of records and sensitive information especially financial records.
- Assist in related tasks as requested by Senior Document Control Manager.
- Maintain records, retention and disposition schedules, classifying and indexing records.
- Maintains an inventory of all corporate records and related metadata in main in-house office and off-site storage facilities.
- Analyzes data regarding record categories, retention timeframes, and storage locations to identify records that are eligible for disposition.
- Dispose of non-permanent records that have met retention requirements in a prompt, orderly, and documented manner.
- Tracks movement of records retrieved in and out of long-term storage, as well as within the in-house office.
- Maintains and ensure records are assigned retention periods that are aligned with regulatory, contractual, and corporate risk management requirements.
- Monitor and ensure all activities performed are compliant with Quality and specification through performing quality control checks to ensure that records are Archived correctly.
- Liaison with External/ Internal Stakeholders in all issues/ concerns related to Archiving Storage.
- Transfer permanent records to the custody of External Stakeholders such as the National Archives and Abu Dhabi Executive Counsel.
- Supervise the retrieval, copying, and refiling of requested documents internally; assist other departments by researching and providing information and documentation of records when requested.
- Interface with other stakeholder teams to ensure all collaborations to complete the projects.
- Monitor and ensure all risks are identified and mitigation plans are in place within the specified time

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- Diploma/degree from a reputable institution
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Have a deep understanding of Arabic culture, allowing contextually accurate translations
- Willingness to take the initiative without specific direction; ability to work independently
- Proven accuracy, reliability and completeness in performance of duties
- Strong written & oral communication skills and the ability to effectively present
- Relationship management
- At ease with analytics/numbers
- Ability to perform work while under pressure and can manage tight deadlines
- Ability to assume additional responsibilities.
