Our Solution Architects build professional relationships with enterprise customers, acting as their trusted advisor and helping them with decisions related to strategic and technical direction for migration and transformation initiatives.

Rackspace is looking for Solution Architects across a range of levels from different backgrounds and with various skills and expertise. Understanding that there are many paths to acquiring the skills needed to be a successful Solution Architect, we are seeking new Rackers who can demonstrate the below skills or those who are keen to gain them.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Experience designing & developing in cloud technologies including serverless frameworks, preferably AWS.
- Experience in AWS services including EC2, SQS, SNS, Lambda, API Gateway a plus
- Experience with Access Management solutions and working knowledge of IBM Security Access Manager and Ping Federate SSO solution
- Experience on Oracle and No SQL DB’s such as Mongo DB

**Responsibilities Required**:

- Understand the existing architecture (Mobile, Backend, Applications, Digital microservices, Infrastructure and Security)
- Comprehend the Business requirements, the value addition, Conduct the Solution analysis and draft the Solution Design Document.
- Draft the Data Model for the given requirement/change/solution
- If the value addition is less than the efforts spent in enhancing the IT, then convey the message to PO/Delivery Manage/ Business
- If the Enterprise architecture is not existing for a given feature, then call for the “Enterprise Architecture Review”, present the EA and seek the “Architecture Review Board” approvals
- Participate in the Technology risk assessment, Security Assessment - review the risks, challenge, or accept them or justify the mitigations.
- Draw the Infra Security Diagram to explain the Datacenter-Firewall-Port-F5-WAF-Dataguard needs/changes. 2WAYSSL, Strong Ciphers, TLS1.2+
- If new API are introduced or existing API are enhanced then draw the Sequence Diagram for the API calls.
- Convey the solution requirements for Application Monitoring and Alerts, BAU support and troubleshooting (E2E correlation ID)
- Review the solution with reference to Implementation downtime needs, PCIDSS, GDPR, General Cloud security, Infra Capacity planning, IT DR planning, BCP planning, performance optimization
- Drive the POC for any technology feature which is not existing in current state.
- Track the development and unit testing on daily basis and monitor if there are any deviations towards target state or blockers during development.
- Review the unit test results and SIT results from technology and integrations point of view.
- Assist the Delivery Managers and Product Owners in defining the scope of work for MVP
