Dubai, United Arab Emirates HEADWAY CONTRACTING Full time

**JOB RESPONSIBILTY**
- Prepare proposals, solicit quotes, and negotiate purchasing terms and conditions.
- Oversee the month-end close process and creating a consolidate financial statements and account reconciliations.
- Liaise with Finance Department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices and follow up for PDCs and CDCs also.
- Reviews and processes project invoices in accordance with the contract terms verifying contractors’ requests for progress payments, release of holdbacks, final payments, back charges and liquidated damages.
- Analyses and verifies consistency, completeness, and accuracy of project data including but not limited to commitments, incurred costs, accruals, and budgets
- Help identify and monitor project variances.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
- Inspect and evaluate the quality of acquired things, and correct any flaws.
- Monitor supplier performance and address issues and concerns.
- Analyze industry and demand trends and work with top management to design and implement sourcing strategies.
- Chose providers based on price, availability, necessity, quality, and logístical costs.
- Assessing the quality of suppliers and their offerings through in-person visits, interviews, and analysis.
- Collaborate with multiple internal divisions to guarantee that all client needs are met.
- Negotiate sales and supply contracts in ways that suit the business.
- Visit and monitor each site to determine the requests of the Project Engineer’s for materials and other items needed in the site and validate the request according to the inventory or supplies at hand in the site.
- Provides feedback to management regarding challenges or issues.

**JOB SPECIFICATION**:

- A graduate, bachelor’s degree holder preferably in accounting or any related Business Administration course, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics.
- Proven track record as a Procurement Accountant of not less than 5 years
- Very strong negotiation skills and networking
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Remarkable knowledge of the UAE market for materials and suppliers
- Preferably with a UAE Driving License

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
