Design Coordinator for Glazing Facade Projects

**Position**:Design Coordinator

**Job Summary**:
The Design Coordinator for Glazing Facade Projects will be responsible for overseeing the design and coordination of glazing facade projects undertaken by the glass company. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural design principles, knowledge of glazing systems, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients. The Design Coordinator will ensure that projects are executed efficiently, meet quality standards, and adhere to project specifications.

**Responsibilities**:
**Project Coordination**:
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
Coordinate with the design team to develop detailed glazing facade designs, including layout plans, elevation drawings, and construction details.
Review project specifications, drawings, and documentation to ensure compliance with local building codes, industry standards, and client expectations.
Work closely with the project management team to establish project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Assist in the selection and procurement of materials, equipment, and systems required for glazing facade projects.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, resolve design-related issues, and provide technical support as needed.

**Design Development**:
Utilize design software and tools to create 2D and 3D models, renderings, and presentations for client review and approval.
Develop innovative and practical design solutions that meet aesthetic, functional, and performance requirements.
Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the glazing systems meet safety and stability standards.
Collaborate with the manufacturing and fabrication team to translate design concepts into feasible and cost-effective solutions.

**Quality Control and Documentation**:
Conduct thorough reviews of design documents, shop drawings, and material submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Implement quality control procedures to ensure that glazing facade installations meet industry standards and project specifications.
Document design changes, approvals, and project milestones throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain an organized database of project drawings, documents, and specifications for future reference.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3 years) working as a Design Coordinator, Project Coordinator, or similar role within the glazing facade industry.
- Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, glazing systems, and construction techniques.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards in the UAE.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to resolving design-related challenges.
- Willingness to travel to project sites within the UAE as required.
