**Job Purpose**
The role of Occupational health and safety (OHS) Manager is to ensure the overall improvement of working conditions, and the well-being of employees in order to contribute positively to Bank’s productivity. This includes the inspection and regular monitoring of the buildings and equipment (ergonomic chairs, and keyboard, computer screens, noise and light hazards, etc.
Support the Sr Manager P&S / Security Manager and team with planning, coordinating and implementing effective HSE policies, all HSE related reports and dashboards, guidelines and procedures to ensure that the department objectives are met.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Address all Health & Safety requirements of the organization and at all-time ensure that HSE requirements are met.
- Ensure the Bank meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
- Take appropriate action when risk is identified, complete risk assessment report with risk rating.
- Assist in compliance reviews in line with law and regulations, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management.
- Liaise with suppliers i.e. Insurers, solicitors etc. Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
- Inspection of all work places and promote safe conduct of work, hazard identification and communicate corrective measures to Management. Prepare periodic management reports.
- Incident reporting and awareness management. Investigate all types of HSE related incidents, update maintain incident/accident records.
- Provide regular reports to the Head of Unit, Human Resources Manager, Senior Management Team on relevant health and safety activities.
**Other Accountabilities**
- Ensure monthly management dash boards and MIS to be provided and presented for HSE and related responsibilities and compliance.
- Maintain/update fire, first aid and safety warden’s list, ensure periodic training and maintain up-to-date record.
- Conduct briefings with fire wardens regarding rolls and responsibilities and share Bank wide awareness newsletters.
- Conduct annual evacuation drills at all branches, including with civil defense where required ; including evacuation reports.
- Establish a structured programme of health & safety training throughout the Bank. Liaise with external health & safety consultants in the provision of training programmes and health and safety services.
- Conduct daily and monthly HSE inspections, Create monthly HSE report and dashboard.
- Provide assistance and advice on HSE issues to make recommendations to facility management including safety equipment usage and inspection.
**Other Accountabilities**
- Develop presentation of relevant HSE training and staff induction.
- Ensure HSE objective and HIRA document is up-to-date.
- Responsible for preparing monthly HSE newsletters; prepare guidelines for staff awareness.
- Coordinate and minute periodic Bank’s HSE committee meetings.
- Provide monthly HSE briefing to support staff and contractor staff and maintain attendance records and contents of the materials used in coordination with P&S Business partners, Security manager / Control room
- Write, implement, and manage HSE Programs, Policies and Procedures.
- Establish a full programme of documented health & safety inspections, audits and checks.

**Experience and Skills**
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant practical working experience of formulating, implementing and revising H&S policies and procedures.
- NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) (General Certificate) qualified or working towards NEBOSH certificate accreditation or NEBOSH Environmental Certificate
- Good communication and writing skills
- Interpersonal and Problem-solving skills
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: AED14,000.00 - AED17,500.00 per month
