Drone Pilot

**Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Flight Operations**: Plan and execute drone flights to capture aerial footage in accordance with UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) regulations and airspace requirements. Conduct pre-flight checks to ensure the airworthiness of the drone and verify flight plans for safety and compliance.
- **Aerial Filming**: Operate drones equipped with high-resolution cameras to capture cinematic footage and imagery from unique aerial perspectives. Frame shots creatively, adjust camera settings, and maintain stable flight maneuvers to achieve desired visual effects.
- **Creative Direction**: Collaborate with clients, directors, or production teams to understand project objectives, creative concepts, and visual requirements for aerial filming assignments. Provide input on shot composition, camera angles, and flight maneuvers to achieve desired storytelling effects.
- **Real-time Monitoring**: Monitor live video feeds from the drone's camera during flight operations to ensure the quality and composition of aerial footage. Make real-time adjustments to camera settings or flight paths as needed to optimize visual outcomes.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to GCAA regulations and safety protocols governing drone operations, including airspace restrictions, flight altitude limits, and emergency procedures. Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement safety measures to mitigate potential hazards during filming.
- **Equipment Management**: Maintain drones and camera equipment in optimal condition, conducting routine maintenance checks and troubleshooting technical issues as necessary. Ensure proper storage, transportation, and handling of equipment to prevent damage or malfunctions.
- **Client Communication**: Liaise with clients to provide updates on filming progress, address any concerns or feedback, and ensure alignment with project requirements. Deliver exceptional customer service and professionalism throughout the filming process.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of flight logs, mission plans, and footage captured during aerial filming operations. Compile post-flight reports documenting flight activities, filming locations, and any incidents or observations for regulatory compliance and client reference.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid UAV Operator Certificate (UOC) issued by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) or equivalent licensing and certification required.
- Demonstrated experience in operating drones for aerial filming purposes, with proficiency in piloting various drone models and camera systems.
- Strong understanding of cinematography principles, camera operation, and shot composition techniques for capturing compelling aerial visuals.
- Thorough knowledge of UAE aviation regulations, airspace classifications, and safety procedures governing drone operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, production teams, and stakeholders.
- Creative vision and attention to detail, with a passion for delivering visually stunning aerial content that meets or exceeds client expectations.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate filming schedules and project deadlines.
