**Job overview**:
The Head of Arabic and Islamic Department will lead and manage the Arabic and Islamic Studies curriculum and staff, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning. **Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Leadership and Management**:

- Lead and manage the Arabic and Islamic Studies Department, including staff supervision, curriculum development, and implementation.
- Provide strategic direction and support to ensure the department meets its educational objectives.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to department staff.
- ** Curriculum and Instruction**:

- Develop, review, and enhance the Arabic and Islamic Studies curriculum in line with national and international standards.
- Ensure that the curriculum is engaging, inclusive, and meets the diverse needs of students.
- Monitor and evaluate teaching practices to ensure high standards of instruction.
- ** Professional Development**:

- Identify and address professional development needs for department staff.
- Organize and facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance teaching practices.
- ** Student Support**:

- Implement strategies to support student achievement and address learning challenges.
- Work with students, parents, and staff to ensure that students receive appropriate support and guidance.
- ** Administrative Duties**:

- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and schedules.
- Prepare and submit reports and documentation as required.
- ** Collaboration and Communication**:

- Collaborate with other departments to integrate Arabic and Islamic Studies into the broader curriculum.
- Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and the school community.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Arabic, Islamic Studies, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in teaching Arabic and Islamic Studies, with a strong understanding of curriculum and instructional practices.
- Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
