**Chief Executive Officer (M/F/d)**:

**Your challenge**:
**The CEO is accountable for the strategic and operational leadership of the IHT Rehabilitation Centre through the management contract governance structure and to the Managing Director VAMED Healthcare Services (Malaysia). The role is responsible for overall planning, development and utilization of staff and resources to achieve the agreed objectives. Also responsible for providing thought leadership to the senior management team, establishing and maintaining key relationships with facility stakeholders and continually searching and identifying new developmental opportunities for the facility. Supported by the VAMED Key Personnel positions of Director Medical Rehabilitation, Head of Therapy and Nurse Manager, the Chief Executive Officer is accountable for the following**:

- Establishing a budget and operational plan for the facility aligned with the strategic plan of the organization and ensuring key result areas as defined in the plan are met
- Maintains oversight of the HR Strategy and Quality Plan of the organization
- Leading the continuous implementation, review, and revision of the approved plan
- Engaging with the facility's other clinical and managerial leaders to define the organization’s mission and plan the policies, procedures, and clinical services related to that mission
- Actively supporting and participating in the review and implementation of facility frameworks, policies and procedures
- Assisting direct reports in establishing departmental goals and objectives that are aligned to the organizational strategic plan and providing leadership for their implementation
- Oversee the development, submission and implementation of the Year Plan (annual requirement) to the Board
- Reviewing the financial statements of the facility on a monthly basis and submitting the annual report and year-end financial statements of the facility for approval
- Working with fellow Executives to ensure the facility has in place the systems and processes to support the delivery of operational services and achieve organizational targets and objectives
- Engaging across all service delivery functions to ensure there are robust processes in place and to agree on financial and activity targets for the current year and outline going forward
- Maintaining a close awareness of best practice and industry standards in the different functional areas and developing the facility towards these benchmarks
- Integrating VAMED rehabilitation know-how and capability into the operations and quality standards of the facility
- Ensuring appropriate and proportionate governance and risk management processes are effectively operated throughout the facility
- Liaising with health care executives locally and internationally as appropriate
- Ensuring regular liaison with other facility departments/sections in order to provide appropriate specialist functional support and to ensure a strong referral network for the facility
- Developing and maintaining relationships with customers and senior internal and external stakeholders while promoting the reputation of facility services
- Overall responsibility for media relations in conjunction with the Board
- Advises the Board on major operational decisions and on special projects to improve business results
- Assuming the role of a brand ambassador for the facility and promoting a customer focused philosophy in dealing with any stakeholders
- Maintaining positive and effective working relationships within the department/section and also with other departments/sections within the facility

**Your profile**:

- At minimum a degree in Healthcare Management, Business Management or a similar discipline, Masters level preferred
- Minimum 5 years healthcare management experience preferably within a Rehabilitation setting
- Experience working within a European rehabilitation setting is preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience commissioning healthcare facilities seen as a distinct advantage
- Committed to the provision of quality healthcare and patient centric services
- Skilled in developing and building business relationships
- Excellent English language skills (written and spoken)
- Self-confident, assertive and highly flexible
- Comfortable working in a culturally diverse workplace
