**Overview of the Role**:
The core responsibility of the construction site manager is to assume overall responsibility for a profitable, well-constructed, safe project, completed in a timely manner.

**Objectives**:

- The safe and effective delivery of a portfolio of brownfield safety critical projects on multiple offshore platforms; including large production complexes (multiple platforms linked by bridges) and remote Wellhead Towers, within an EPCM contracting model.
- Effective Construction Execution Planning, focused on delivering a portfolio of similar project scopes across multiple offshore platforms and wellhead towers to meet agreed schedule and costs.
- Efficient management of Jack-up barges to provide accommodation and working area alongside platform and wellhead towers to minimize project cost and schedule.
- Efficient management of Construction Contractors workforce to deliver projects safely, to the required standards within budget and schedule.
- Provide certainty and confidence to the client and Company project sponsor, that the contract is being delivered safely with a strong focus on optimization, cost control, risk management, schedule adherence and stakeholder management.

**Project Execution**
- Develop Construction Execution Plan to maximise efficiencies, reduce cost and schedule.
- Obtain alignment with all stakeholders on Construction Execution Plan and initiate actions to drive success.
- Provide expert knowledge into Design to ensure construct-ability is built into design, minimise the amount of design deliverables required to achieve safe and efficient execution offshore.
- Participation in design review, 3D Model Reviews, Value Engineering, Risk Management workshops, construct-ability Reviews, PHSERs, IPR etc.
- Jointly establish System Breakdown, Mechanical Completions, and Work pack structure with the Commissioning Manager, to drive completion of each project scope.
- Key member of the Contract Management Team to prepare and issue ITT for Construction and Commissioning Contract, evaluate proposals, and make recommendation to Client for them to place contract(s).
- Establish and manage Construction Management team across the portfolio of projects.
- Manage Construction Contractors to deliver projects safely, to the required standards within budget and schedule.
- Manage specialist subcontractors for activities such as subsea cable / pipe installation and flare ignition systems.
- Establish good working relationships with clients Project Team and Offshore Operations Team to ensure alignment on scope, Method Statements, SIMOP’s, Job Risk Assessments etc. to remove or minimize delays during onsite construction phase.
- Engage with Clients Marine Logistics Dept. and Construction Contractor to ensure Jack-up barges are correctly specified inspected, approved and on-station when required to meet Construction Schedule.
- Ensure safety, quality and environmental responsibilities and accountabilities have been defined and communicated to workers engaged within their area(s) of control
- Ensure all workers within their area(s) of control receive appropriate training to perform their work in a safe, legal, and competent manner including any Health and Safety and site-specific inductions.
- Initiate safety, quality, and environmental processes within their area(s) of control, including toolbox meetings, inspections, and the identification, assessment, and control of risks in accordance with the client requirements.
- Coordinate supply and delivery of equipment, subcontractors, consumables, accommodation, and other project-specific requirements, in accordance with client/contract document specifications and in accordance with Companies Policies & Procedures.
- Understand and manage the industrial relations environment impacting the site and report any issues as required
- Provide leadership and management to ensure safe, cost effective and timely resolution of all interfaces.
- Engage Quality Function to ensure all inspections and testing are performed in timely manner and any reworks are performed expediently to avoid delays to schedule.
- Drive Mechanical Completion to enable handover of systems and subsystems in an agreed structure to maximise efficiency and allow commissioning activities to commence as soon as possible.

**Leadership**
- Guides and directs project team including external specialists and construction contractor, working in multiple offices and sites.
- Is an advocate and role model for ethical behaviour and compliance with applicable laws and policies. Coaches, mentors, and empowers others to make decisions within established parameters

**Internal**:

- Provides the interface and maintains effective relationships with other contributors to the project.
- Guides and directs project team and functional support teams as required.
