**Department Overview**
The Student and Programme Administration Team oversees the census returns for the UAE Ministry of Education, support the CAA, Commission for Academic Accreditation, alongside the Head of Quality Assurance in order to obtain the necessary accreditation for each programme.
The SPA Team also has broader connections in the wider areas of services and support for education and research.
**Role summary**
The Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for the administrative support of Quality assurance and quality enhancement across the Dubai Campus, supervising academic quality assurance functions such as programme approval, accreditation monitoring and review as directed by the line manager and Head of Quality Assurance for the Campus.
The Quality Assurance Officer’s role is to provide authoritative professional advice and guidance in the development and review of the QA systems and processes for the Dubai Campus. This will be informed by an awareness and understanding of University’s and external policy and strategy in these areas, and will include leading short
- to medium-term projects that highlights challenges with existing processes and systems, recommending and implementing solutions, and progressing on agreed developments with line manager and Head of Quality Assurance for the Campus.
The post will play a significant role in Campus-wide projects to prepare for internal and external inspections, accreditation processes, and audits, in particular, but not limited to, those undertaken by the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE), the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), as well as professional accreditation bodies.
The processes supported by the Quality Assurance Officer ensure there is a regular cycle of feedback from students, staff, academics from other institutions and industry experts, all of which is used to share new ideas and continuously enhance provision, as well as making sure academic standards are maintained.
