**Role Summary**:
The Furniture and Joinery Designer is responsible for creating innovative and functional designs for furniture and joinery projects. Utilizing software such as AutoCAD, 3ds Max, or other CAD software, the designer conceptualizes, develops, and refines designs to meet client specifications and project requirements. This role requires a balance of creativity, technical proficiency, and the ability to collaborate within a team while also being capable of independently managing design projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop detailed furniture and joinery designs based on client briefs, project requirements, and industry standards.
- Create concept sketches, renderings, and 3D models to present design ideas effectively.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to understand design needs and integrate feedback into design iterations.
- Produce accurate technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing, ensuring designs are feasible and adhere to budget constraints.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction techniques to incorporate innovative and sustainable practices into designs.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
- Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and project meetings to contribute ideas and insights.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines effectively.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, 3ds Max, SolidWorks, or similar programs.
- Strong understanding of furniture and joinery construction techniques, materials, and finishes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and visual, with the ability to articulate design concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop innovative design solutions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
- A portfolio showcasing design projects, preferably including examples of furniture and joinery designs.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, 3ds Max) for creating detailed technical drawings and 3D models.
- Knowledge of design principles, including scale, proportion, balance, and ergonomics.
- Ability to interpret client needs and translate them into functional and aesthetically pleasing designs.
