**Location: Port de la Mer, Jumeirah 1, Dubai**

**Responsibilities**:
**1. MENU MANAGEMENT AND EXECUTION**:

- Oversee the preparation and presentation of al dishes on the menu, ensuring they meet the cafe's standards for quality and presentation.
- Execute complex cooking tasks, focusing on vegan cuisine, to ensure al dishes leaving the kitchen are of high quality.

**2. TRAINING AND SUPERVISION**:

- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff (e.g., Commis Chefs) to ensure they meet the high standards expected.
- Provide real-time feedback and mentorship, promoting skill development and adherence to cafe standards.

**3. INVENTORY AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT**:

- Manage inventory for the kitchen, ensuring sufficient supplies while minimizing waste.
- Coordinate with suppliers to source the best quality plant-based ingredients at cost-effective prices.

**4. HEALTH AND SAFETY COMPLIANCE**:

- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, adhering to food hygiene regulations.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment, particularly in an open kitchen setting.

**5. MENU DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION**:

- Collaborate with the cafe management to develop and refine dishes, incorporating customer feedback and culinary trends.
- Participate in menu planning sessions to innovate and enhance the cafe's offerings.

**6. QUALITY CONTROL**:

- Conduct regular quality checks on both ingredients and dishes to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Quickly address any issues related to dish quality or presentation.

**7. OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY**:

- Ensure efficient operation of the kitchen during service, maintaining high standards for speed and quality.
- Organize and manage the workflow to maximize productivity without compromising on the quality of food.

**8. CUSTOMER INTERACTION**:

- Engage with customers in the open kitchen to enhance their dining experience, gather direct feedback, and discuss the cafe's vegan philosophy.
- Adjust dishes based on customer preferences and dietary requirements, showcasing flexibility and creativity in vegan cuisine.

**9. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT**:

- Stay informed about the latest trends in vegan and plant-based cuisine.
- Encourage continuous learning and professional growth among kitchen staf.

**10. COLLABORATIVE TEAMWORK**:

- Work closely with the entire kitchen team, including the separate pastry chef, to ensure a cohesive service experience.
- Foster a collaborative environment that supports the cafe's values and culinary goals.

**Requirements**:

- Culinary diploma or relevant training is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef, preferably in a vegan/vegetarian setting.
- A genuine passion for plant-based foods and holistic wellness.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm state.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages like arabic and russian is a plus.
