The Manager Lending role within the fintech team at talabat will be responsible to own the P&L, build strategy, manage growth plans and track performance, in addition to taking a lead role in how talabat iterates its strategy as we navigate further into this space.

What's on your plate

Take ownership of the P&L for lending domain at talabat, acting as its business owner

Prepare strategy, roadmap and plans for with cross-functional teams for Pay Later program and other lending initiatives within talabat

Manage GTM strategy in partnership with local marketing and other teams

Continuously challenge the status quo, identify new opportunities and take initiatives to solve problems and/or unlock opportunities within the lending space in the talabat ecosystem

Partner with Product, Tech and Data for planning and execution in line with set goals

Build complex business caseses for existing and various prospective projects to support future strategy and decision making process

Oversee the business to ensure smooth operations and keep continuous track of identified performance indicators

Carry out benchmarking of the business in this or other parts of the world

Own all internal publications of the business vertical

What did we order

Passion for fintech and an understanding on how a business like talabat can leverage fintech to realize efficiencies in the ecosystem

5+ years of payments/fintech experience in any market, BNPL or digital lending experience preferred

Self driven with a high sense of ownership and require mínimal supervision

Comfortable with analytical tools and collaborating with data teams in order to make data-driven decisions

Hold excellent presentation and communication skills

Comfortable driving multiple initiatives in parallel

Hold good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships

Minimum of 2 years experience in MENA mandatory for this role
