Farm Supervisor

**Requirements**:
- Manage and supervise day-to-day activities on the landscape farm, including planting, cultivating, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control, while maintaining high standards of plant care.
- Lead a team of farm workers, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure efficient and effective work performance.
- Develop and execute planting schedules, taking into account seasonal variations, plant requirements, and landscape design goals.
- Monitor and manage irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering of plants, utilizing water resources effectively.
- Implement integrated pest management strategies to prevent and address pest and disease issues, promoting plant health and vitality.
- Maintain and oversee the maintenance of farm equipment and machinery, ensuring their functionality and safety.
- Collaborate closely with designers and architects to preserve and enhance the landscape's visual appeal and design intent.
- Conduct regular inspections of the landscape, identifying areas in need of attention, such as trimming, pruning, or replacement of plants.
- Keep accurate records of farm activities, including planting dates, maintenance tasks, and plant inventory.
- Manage the inventory of seeds, plants, fertilizers, and related materials, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained.
- Advocate for and implement sustainable farming practices to minimize environmental impact and support ecological balance.
- Communicate effectively with management, providing updates on landscape conditions, challenges, and achievements.
- Uphold a safe working environment by adhering to safety regulations, protocols, and best practices.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Diploma in Landscape Management, Horticulture, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- Proven track record in landscape management, horticulture, or related roles, demonstrating hands-on expertise.
- Strong knowledge of plant species, cultivation techniques, and landscape maintenance best practices.
- Leadership capabilities with the ability to effectively lead and inspire a team.
- Exceptional organizational skills and effective time management abilities.
- Clear and concise communication skills, enabling collaboration with team members, management, and external partners.
- Keen attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics, ensuring the landscape's visual appeal is upheld.
- Basic understanding of irrigation systems and equipment maintenance.
- Problem-solving aptitude, enabling informed decision-making in various situations.
- Familiarity with sustainable farming practices is advantageous.
