We are hiring for **Registrar Business Analyst - 1 year extendable.**

**POSITION PURPOSE**:
The purpose of the Business Analyst (BA) role is to bridge the gap between Information Technology and the business functions in registration department that includes but not limited to recruitment, admission, and registration teams. The BA should assess the business processes, determine requirements and gaps, and formulate business requirements considering the end-to-end business process of the registration department. The Business Analyst is responsible for collaborating with business users to understand and document their requirements, facilitate communication with IT teams for implementation, and ensure successful testing and documentation of IT systems. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our technology solutions align with the needs and expectations of our business stakeholders in the bigger picture.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
Description
- Requirements Gathering and Documentation:

- Collaborate with business users to elicit, document, and prioritize their system requirements.
- Translate business needs into comprehensive requirement documents, including functional and non-functional requirements.
- Identify the areas for process improvement and efficiency gains, and work with relevant teams to develop and implement solutions.
- Identify automation opportunities and work with IT to develop automated solutions.
- Communication and Collaboration:

- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure clear and effective communication.
- Work closely with IT team to convey business requirements, provide clarifications, and address any issues that may arise during the implementation phase.
- Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with stakeholders for optimized systems integration and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations.
- Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery of monthly status reports to all appropriate parties.
- Testing and Quality Assurance:

- Develop test cases and testing plans as a document, to ensure that the implemented solutions meet the defined requirements. The document outlines the testing process, test scenarios, and expected results.
- Conduct thorough testing to identify gaps in requirements or discrepancies in the implemented solution. Also, execute user acceptance testing with the relevant business users.
- Collaborate with IT team to resolve issues and ensure the quality of the final product.
- Documentation:

- Write clear and well-structured (low and high level) business requirements and documentation.
- Creating functional and non-functional specifications for the required solutions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentations, including user manuals and system documentation, to aid in system understanding and support.
- Develop and update business documents as needed to reflect changes in processes or systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that IT solutions align with organizational goals and strategic objectives.
- Partner with stakeholders across business units to develop analysis and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with production, managerial, and executive teams.
- Actively participate in project meetings, providing valuable insights and recommendations.

**QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:
**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or relevant field
- Business Analysis Professional certification (e.g., CBAP, CCBA).

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- A master’s degree in a related field or certificates in related technology

**Required Experience**:

- 8 years plus of relevant working experience on the Business Analyst role for higher education’s registration department having working experience on Ellucian Banner is must.
- Working experience of CRM, especially Salesforce is preferred.

**Preferred Experience**:

- 3 or more years of experience of project management.
- Familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Knowledge of business process modelling and reengineering.

**Required Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills**:

- Thorough understanding of the registration department business process for academic and non-academic learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skillswith a focus on delivering effective solutions.
