THE POST
ADNOC Schools is currently seeking an Elementary Coordinator. The current vacancy is based in ADNOC School, Ruwais Campus, located in the Western Region (Al Dhafra) of Abu Dhabi for August 2025 start.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Aldar Education and to help shape the future of Abu Dhabi's leading school group. The schools deliver the renowned US Massachusetts/Common Core curriculum and ADNOC Schools, Ruwais Campus currently educates 1,110 students.
Successful candidates will combine an excellent track record of effective leadership experience, developed in the UK, USA, or other international settings, with strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness with the ability to manage the demands and needs of a wide range of stakeholders from Board level to parents, teachers, and Principals. Exceptional communication skills combined with being a visible leader and ambassador for the school are pivotal to this role.
The role requires high-level strategic thinking combined with a firm grasp of how to ensure outstanding educational outcomes across the school. Candidates must be committed to working in partnership with other schools within the group and developing ways to engage with strategic partners to support the work of the school, the group as a whole, and the UAE's wider education vision.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a high profile as an example of best and leading practice within the classroom and foster the high expectations to which the school aspires.
- Lead, develop, and monitor whole school assessment in conjunction with middle/senior colleagues.
- Carry out regular Teaching & Learning reviews to include lesson observations, work/mark book scrutiny, learning walks, and progress/attainment scrutiny.
- Share responsibility for the analysis of key school performance data to ensure priorities are appropriate and improvement in standards is promoted.
- Oversee the development of effective timetabling, which meets and responds to the needs of students within the statutory frameworks and the resources available.
- Coach and develop staff to maximize impact on effective teaching and learning.
- Work closely with curriculum leaders to ensure the best learning opportunities for children.
- Actively include students to further enhance their learning opportunities and personal development.
- Support the target setting process, including statutory procedures and targets for individuals and groups throughout the school.
- Implement strategies to promote high standards of behavior.
- Develop and enhance a broad and rich curriculum that meets the needs of the range of students in the school.
- Monitor and evaluate outcomes achieved from classroom practice.
- Take a leading role in the development of quality and manageable assessment practice throughout the school.
- Lead the development of a core subject throughout the school to ensure high-quality teaching that supports high standards.
- Demonstrate a commitment to positive behavior management throughout the school acting as a restorative practice facilitator.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the delegated areas of responsibility to ensure the school meets statutory requirements in a highly effective and efficient manner.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks requested by the principal/line manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in education or a bachelor's degree in a related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification.
Desirable
- Master's degree in education.
- Leadership/Management.
- Administrative/Leadership certification.
- Demonstrable experience managing College Board Programming.
Minimum Experience
- 6 years' experience, including 4 consecutive years teaching performance that exceeds standards and expectations as evidenced by Performance Appraisal.
