Role OverviewITHR Technologies Consulting LLC is seeking a Fortinet Engineer to design, implement, and manage Fortinet security solutions across enterprise networks. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of firewall security, network infrastructure, and threat prevention while ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesFortinet Security Solutions- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiSIEM.
- Implement VPN (IPsec, SSL), SD-WAN, and Next-Gen Firewall policies.
- Optimize FortiAuthenticator and FortiToken for multi-factor authentication.
- Monitor security logs, alerts, and network traffic for threat detection and mitigation.
- Design and deploy secure network architectures using Fortinet solutions.
- Implement and maintain firewall rules, VLANs, and access control policies.
- Conduct network security audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network security incidents.
- Analyze and respond to security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack patterns.
- Work with SOC teams to implement proactive security measures.
- Develop incident response plans and security best practices.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for firewall and security-related issues.
- Create detailed technical documentation for configurations and policies.
- Train internal teams on Fortinet security best practices.
- Strong hands-on experience with FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSIEM, FortiAuthenticator.
- Expertise in firewall configuration, IPS, IDS, and web filtering.
- Proficiency in VPN setup (IPsec, SSL), SD-WAN, VLANs, and network security policies.
- Knowledge of intrusion detection, malware analysis, and DDoS protection.
- Familiarity with Cisco, Palo Alto, and cloud security (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
