  • Advises on procurement strategiesand contract selection, writing and undertaking procurementreports.
  • Provides expert technical/functionaladvice applying value management techniques at the outset ofprojects.
  • Delivers estimating and cost planningactivities to include ownership and presentation of the final costplan.
  • Drives procurement process, ensuring thatall stages including prequalification, enquiry, analysis, selectionand contract preparation are performedeffectively.
  • Develops & maintains aseries of both internal and externalrelationships.
  • Supervises preparation ofcontract documents, warranties, bonds and licenses to ensure formalexecution by the appropriateparties.
  • Accountable for the measurement ofproject valuations, ensuring cost checking and valuation work ismanaged effectively.
  • Delivers and produces costcontrol and reporting services to present tostakeholders.
  • Directs and manages costsassociated with design changes, contract awards, constructionactivities and client charges.
  • Deliverscontinuous improvements in processes through application of bestpractices and lessons learned. Drives transformationalchange.
  • Oversees evaluation of claims for delayand additional costs made by externalstakeholders.
  • Directs the issue of certificateof making good defects and final completion in accordance with anyrequirements relating to completion, submissions andapprovals.
  • Manages certificates of practicalcompletion ensuring that final accounts are negotiated andagreed.
  • Manages a large team (or severalterams) of direct reports, driving the appropriate behaviours toachieve success & key performance indicators (KPIs),including a continuous improvementculture.
  • Provides performance management,technical & career development andcoaching.
  • Works collaboratively towards thecommon goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibilityfor the proactive identification and management of the associatedcarbon emissions and reductions during the delivery ofwork.
