KeyTasks and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and develop arrangement anddetail conceptual, FEED, studies, and detail design drawings ofhigh technical quality and professional consistent presentation,ensuring clarity and ease ofconstruction
  • Develop 3D models and ensureclash-free with all other disciplines
  • Ensuredesign deliverables are completed and issued per projectspecifications, MDR, and project Level 2 & 3 procedures andwithin agreed schedules and budgets
  • Applyknowledge and/or skills to a range ofactivities
  • Set priorities, organize own workand time to meet objectives, and (as Lead Designer) forecast andplan resource requirements
  • Act as a coordinatorand technical expert within the process of development and/ormodification of 3D Macros applied atE3D/S3D
  • When acting as Lead Designer, inaddition:
    • Direct and coordinate medium or largeDesign team as Lead Designer
    • Lead projects asLead Designer, engaging the participation of other disciplinesCoordinate all activities within own discipline and disciplineinterfaces with other disciplines
    • Lead thedesign team of the assigned work area and complete within theplanned schedule and budget, in accordance with standards, MDR, andproject-specific procedures and to a high professionalstandard
    • Plan, organize, and direct all aspectsof Discipline execution on the assigned project, including scope,deliverables, schedule, and all Discipline workforce resources -agree on allocations with the EngineeringManager
    • Ensure interfaces and deliverables areclearly identified
    • Maintain responsibility forprogress and productivity, identifying any required correctiveaction
    • Act as project-based Discipline point ofcontact in communications and meetings with the Project Team,Customer, vendor/supplier and/or subcontractor counterparts, andrelevant agencies such as certifying authorities, auditors, thirdparties, etc.

Qualifications

EssentialQualifications and Education:

  • High School graduate with a diplomain Civil or Structural disciplines or equivalentexperience
  • 10+ years min with major contractoror consultant of which 5+ years of experience in oil andgas
  • Detailed knowledge of associated industrydetailing standards & codes Detailed knowledge of 3D and 2Ddrafting and material control systems (AutoCAD and/orMicroStation)
  • Minimum 2 projects working and/orReview experience in E3D and/or S3D
  • Capable ofLeading projects
  • Be able to perform theengineering of Miscellaneous steel
  • Toparticipate in proposals as an expert for CSA designwork
