Roles and responsibilities

The HR Manager will be the leadperson in delivery of HR Services for the Middle East Operations,and business partner with the management team to ensure dailyoperations and people agenda is compliant with the UAE employmentlaw and regulations. This role will act as the first point ofcontact for HR issues raised by schoolemployees.

Additionally, thisrole that will take on the responsibility of full-employeelifecycle across the group with a focus on recruitment, onboarding,induction and training whilst collaborating with senior managementto improve and develop processes such as recruitment, performancemanagement and driving employee engagementinitiatives.

The HR Manager will also beresponsible for employee relations, salary benchmarking andpayroll. In conjunction, this role will ensure all company policiesand procedures are up to date and compliant with local labour law,across the group.

To beconsidered for this role, the successful candidate must have atleast 7 years' experience in HR, within the Educationfield. They must have excellent knowledge of the UAE labour law anda minimum of 2 years work experience in the Middle East. FurtherEducation in the related field and a career history withinEducation is preferred.

1.Recruitment & TalentAcquisition

  • JobPosting & Advertising: Developing andposting job openings on various platforms, including job boards,social media, and companywebsites.
  • Screening &Interviewing: Reviewing resumes, conductinginterviews, and assessing candidates to ensure the right fit forboth the role and the companyculture.
  • Onboarding:Overseeing the new employee onboarding process, includingconducting orientation sessions, providing necessary documentation,and introducing new hires to company policies andculture.
  • EmployerBranding: Working to attract top talent by enhancingthe company's reputation as an employer of choice, boththrough direct recruiting efforts and public-facingcommunications.

2.Employee Relations &Engagement

  • ConflictResolution: Addressing employee concerns, mediatingdisputes, and fostering positive relationships between employeesand management.
  • EmployeeWellbeing: Promoting workplace initiatives aimed atimproving employee morale, mental health, and generalwell-being.
  • PerformanceManagement: Overseeing performance evaluations,helping managers set employee goals, and implementing performanceimprovement plans whennecessary.
  • Employee Recognition& Retention: Developing programs torecognize employees' achievements, rewarding topperformers, and finding ways to retain high-valueemployees.

3. Training&Development

  • TrainingPrograms: Identifying training needs and organizingemployee development programs, workshops, and seminars to enhanceskills and careergrowth.
  • LeadershipDevelopment: Implementing programs aimed atdeveloping future leaders within the company, including mentoringand succession planning.
  • CareerPathing: Helping employees understand potentialcareer paths within the organization and providing resources forthem to develop those paths.

4.Compliance & LegalResponsibilities

  • LaborLaws & Regulations: Ensuring the companycomplies with all local, state, and federal labor laws andregulations, including fair employment practices, equal opportunitylaws, and wage laws.
  • PolicyDevelopment: Creating and implementing companypolicies, handbooks, and employee guidelines to ensure consistencyand legal compliance.
  • Health& Safety: Overseeing health and safetyinitiatives and making sure the company complies with occupationalhealth and safety standards.
