Roles and responsibilities
  • To supervise all siteactivities & monitoring of all workers functioning at theprojects. Obtaining Material approval, drawing approval &site inspection approvals, Collection of Payments from therespective clients based on progress & Final Handing over /Job close out.
  • Managing the parts ofconstruction projects, knowledge of firefighting works (addedadvantage) and undertaking surveys, setting out sites andorganizing facilities.
  • Checking technicaldesigns and drawings are followed correctly onsite.
  • Perform all daily inspection forFirefighting services and test of the scope and character necessaryto achieve as per approved method statement, inspection test plan,quality of construction.
  • Ensuring projects meetagreed specifications, budgets ortimescales.
  • Coordinate with theconsultant's representative and Site In-charge forinspection and meeting about quality problems including the closureof Non-Compliance Report, NCR and Site Instruction,SI.
  • Control, and monitor all activities relatedto Quality Management System, QMS.
  • Taking careof Quality related documents of the entire project includingcertificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests,non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanentmaterials delivered and otherdocuments.
  • Responsible for the quality andworkmanship of every activity, thorough knowledge of all phases ofengineering construction relating to Civil, Architectural andStructural discipline interfacing the multidisciplinaryoperations.
  • Develop method statement for theactivity including risk assessment and job safety environmentalanalysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based onspecifications of the project.
  • Carry outInternal Audit at the site as scheduled in the Project QualityPlan, PQP.
  • Liaise the Technical Engineer forsubmission of material submittals to consultant.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree inMechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 4 – 5years experience in design and buildingprojects.
  • Well versed in contractual terms andconditions, FDIC & method of measurements especiallyCESSM.

1.Quality Assurance (QA)Responsibilities:

  • Developingand Implementing Processes: Designing andimplementing quality assurance processes and systems that ensurequality standards are followed throughout the product developmentor production lifecycle.
  • ProcessImprovement: Identifying and implementingimprovements in production or development processes to increaseefficiency and reduce the likelihood ofdefects.
  • DocumentingProcedures: Writing clear and concise documentationfor quality processes, standards, and best practices, ensuring thatall team members understand their roles in maintainingquality.
  • TrainingStaff: Educating and training employees on qualitystandards, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistentproductquality.
  • Auditing:Performing internal audits of quality systems and processes toensure they are being followed correctly and identifying areas forimprovement.
  • SupplierManagement: Ensuring that the suppliers and vendorsmeet the required quality standards by auditing and evaluatingtheir processes andmaterials.
  • Compliance:Ensuring that products and processes comply with industryregulations, standards, and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001,industry-specific regulations).

2.Quality Control (QC)Responsibilities:

  • Inspectionand Testing: Performing inspections and tests onmaterials, components, or finished products to ensure they meetquality standards. This can include visual inspections,measurements, and functionaltesting.
  • Defect Identificationand Reporting: Identifying any defects,non-conformities, or discrepancies in the product and documentingthem for corrective action.
  • DataCollection: Collecting data and metrics related toproduct quality, performance, and defects, and analyzing this datato identify trends or recurringissues.
  • CorrectiveActions: Recommending and assisting with correctiveactions when quality issues are identified, ensuring that they areaddressed promptly to minimizedisruption.
  • Final ProductApproval: Ensuring that the final product isthoroughly tested and meets all required specifications andregulatory standards before it is delivered to thecustomer.

3. GeneralResponsibilities:

  • Reporting:Preparing detailed reports on quality inspections, test results,audits, and any corrective actions taken. These reports are oftenpresented to senior management orclients.
  • Collaboration:Working closely with various departments, such as production,engineering, and supply chain management, to ensure qualitystandards are maintained across the entireprocess.
