The Land Surveyor performs all dutiesassociated with surveying which may include direction andpreparation of boundary surveys easements anddescriptions.

JobDuties.

  • Performingrecord research construction stakeout and boundary topographictransportation and utility surveys utilizing total stations anddata collectors.
  • Review information from surveyteams regarding measurement of distances directions angles betweenpoints and elevation of points lines and contours on above andbelow the earths surface.
  • Plan field work& select known survey referencepoints.
  • Determine the precise location ofimportant features in the survey area.
  • Researchlegal records look for evidence of previous boundaries and analyzethe data to determine the location of boundarylines.
  • Record the results of surveys and verifyaccuracy of data.
  • Prepare plots maps andreports metes and boundsdescriptions

Qualifications:

MinimumQualification

  • BachelorDegree/Diploma in relevant Engineering field (i.e. Civil Geodetic or relatedfield.

Experience

  • Theideal candidate to be Civil Engineering graduate with minimum 6years experience in land  surveying field and setting outof works of similar nature or Diploma holder with minimum 8 yearsexperience in the land surveying field in similarworks.
