Power Networkssector continually growing we are looking to appointAssistant Resident Engineer Electricalfor our Abu Dhabi Office /Projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Superviseworks to ensure proper sequence and quality as per the Contractdocument.
  • Perform and approve site activitiesconduct daytoday site inspections attend precommissioning andcommissioning tests alignments etc. and issue site memos asnecessary.
  • Assist the Resident Engineer (RE)with interdisciplinary coordination at thesite.
  • Monitor and report on the progress ofwork.
  • Supervise and guide inspectors to ensureworks are performed in proper sequence and required quality as perthe Contract document.
  • Ensure documentation ofcompleted work activities listed in the Quality ControlPlan/Inspection Test Plan including attaching supporting documentsand verifying data accuracy in quality controlrecords.
  • Supervise and follow up onsitetests.
  • Collaborate with the Quantity Surveyorto review contractor monthlyinvoices.
  • Coordinate with the QA/QC Engineer toensure works meet the agreed quality control standards and areappropriately documented.
  • Ensure practicablemeasures are taken through the Contractors HSE team to protect andpromote Health Safety and Environment(HSE).
  • Have complete knowledge of the assignedwork packages and responsibilities.
  • Monitor theconstruction schedule to ensure timely completion of thework.
  • Verify the implementation of riskresponses and identify new risks at thesite.

Fieldof Expertise:

  • Highvoltage medium voltage and low voltageswitchgears.
  • Powertransformers.
  • Protection &Controls.
  • Auxiliary power systems (110V& 48V DC systems andLVAC).
  • Instrumentation and control (DCS SCADAand Telecom).
  • Installation of cables and cableways.
  • Testing and commissioning of TransformersSwitchgears Protection & Control systems and Telecomsystems.
  • Issuing sitememos.
  • Familiarity with TranscoSpecifications.
  • Awareness of HSE Monitoring andimplementation including hazardidentification.
  • Ability to monitor andsupervise contractor and subcontractor activities from multipleaspects.
  • Early identification ofrisks.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelorof Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (BE) orequivalent from a recognizeduniversity.
  • Candidates with a threeyear Diplomain Electrical or Electronics & Communication Engineeringfrom a recognized institute along with relevant experience insimilar projects will also be considered.
  • Thedegree must be certified by the Ministry of Higher Education beforeemployment.

Experience:

  • DegreeHolders: Minimum of six (6) years of experience inthe relevant field.
  • DiplomaHolders: Minimum of nine (9) years of experiencepreferably with a consultant.
  • Past experiencemust include successfully completing similar projects in scope andtype.
