AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Resident Electrical Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi Office/Projects team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering with experience in supervising and guiding site activities. Responsibilities will include supervising works, performing site activities, conducting day-to-day site inspections, and ensuring proper sequence and quality as per the Contract document.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise works to ensure proper sequence and quality as per the Contract document.
  • Perform and approve site activities, conduct day-to-day site inspections, attend pre-commissioning and commissioning tests, alignments, etc., and issue site memos as necessary.
  • Assist the Resident Engineer (RE) with interdisciplinary coordination at the site.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of work.
  • Supervise and guide inspectors to ensure works are performed in proper sequence and required quality as per the Contract document.
  • Ensure documentation of completed work activities listed in the Quality Control Plan/Inspection Test Plan, including attaching supporting documents and verifying data accuracy in quality control records.
  • Supervise and follow up on-site tests.
  • Collaborate with the Quantity Surveyor to review contractor monthly invoices.
  • Coordinate with the QA/QC Engineer to ensure works meet the agreed quality control standards and are appropriately documented.
  • Ensure practicable measures are taken through the Contractor's HSE team to protect and promote Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).
  • Have complete knowledge of the assigned work packages and responsibilities.
  • Monitor the construction schedule to ensure timely completion of the work.
  • Verify the implementation of risk responses and identify new risks at the site.
