We are seeking a dynamic individual to joinour team as the Risk Senior Manager for the UAE. The successfulcandidate will be responsible for managing the risk function in UAEoverseeing risk identification assessment and mitigation efforts tosafeguard the stability and integrity of the organisationsoperations in the region. 

This rolerequires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding ofregional market dynamics regulatory requirements and industry bestpractices.

Youllcontribute to the missionby:

  • Be acritical member of the Latam & MEA Risk team in developingand executing a global risk management strategy tailored to the UAEregion.

  • Ensure consistentapplication of risk management methodologies policies andprocedures across all UAEoperations.

  • Conduct riskself assessments  for the business in entities as per riskmanagement principles supporting remediation andclosure;

  • Work closely withproduct teams to value add on risk insights into product changesnew product and market launch open issues and horizon risksrelevant to theregion. 

  • Monitorand analyse regional market trends product risks incidentsregulatory developments and emerging risk factors to assess theirimpact on the organisations risk profile and recommend appropriaterisk mitigationstrategies.

  • Oversee theimplementation of risk management tools and systems for UAEleveraging technology and data analytics to enhance risk monitoringreporting and decisionmakingprocesses.

  • Workcollaboratively with business units and functions to design andimplement effective risk mitigation strategies controls and actionplans. Monitor the effectiveness of controls and recommendenhancements asnecessary. 

  • Providetimely and accurate risk reports and updates to senior managementand the board of directors highlighting key risk exposures trendsand emerging risks in theregion.

  • Develop and maintaineffective relationships with regional regulators industry peers andother external stakeholders to stay abreast of regulatorydevelopments industry trends and best practices in riskmanagement.

 Whatyoull bring:

  • 6years of experience in the financial industry preferably with afocus on the UAE region ideally with first line and second lineexperience.

    • Proventrack record of successfully leading risk management functions withstrong business engagement including developing and implementingregional risk frameworks policies and procedures and leadingteams.

    • Extensive experiencein at least one of these:  operations enterprise riskand/or regulatory risk management within the financial servicesindustry with a focus on the UAE region

      • Goodunderstanding of risk management principles risk systems reportingtools including policies andframeworks

      • Excellentanalytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills with theability to analyse complex issues and develop practical solutionsin a dynamic and multiculturalenvironment.

      • Strongunderstanding of regional market dynamics regulatory requirementsand geopolitical factors impacting the region with the ability toassess and quantify risks across various business lines andgeographies.

      • Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills with the ability toeffectively interact with senior management regulators and otherstakeholders in the UAEregion.

      • Thrives in afastpaced dynamic environment and is comfortable navigating thecomplexities of a subsidiaryoperation. 

      • Demonstratesa strong ability to drive results internally with global teamswhile fostering a culture of local ownership andinitiative. 

        • Strongcommitment to integrity ethics and professionalism with a passionfor promoting a strong risk culture and fostering collaborationacross the organisations UAEoperations.
